seems a good game to start Illaramendi in. hope Jese and Morata can get a few minutes here

Ramos will be on the bench according to Ancelotti and judging by our last training session Isco and Modric will be as well.

Great performance. Ronaldo, Isco and Di Maria were very good, so were Illarra and Carvajal. Khedira was good too. Illarra football intelligence is incredible. They guy always chooses the good decisions, it's incredible. Carvajal is a monster, future captain.

i know higuain won't have missed those clear chances benzema had...hope we sell him and buy suarez in jan. jese(who i prefer to morata) and morata can play back up to suarez....benzema's too inconsistent for my liking

Kind of a hit or miss atm, he plays great one game and then he's awful the next.. He really needs to be consistent. At the very least he is consistent in CL matches, he's not been consistent against the smaller teams in the league so far

unlucky with the first goal but we picked ourselves up and could have finished it off in the first half.

its hard to pick anyone when everybody were great but I have to say Benzema looked absolutely dismal out there. good of Arbeloa to ask the fans to applaud him

pretty pissed Morata and Jese only got 10 and 5 mins respectively though in this kind of game

hope they start/play alot more against Elche in midweek

I think our players are finally grasping Carlos idea of how to play. I was just checking the heat map now(credit to the blog I copied it from) and noticed how we have create a perfect 4-2-2-2 formation with Isco and DiMaria tucking into the middle to add bodies into there and both the fullbacks providing the width. I think with time we will learn to close those pocket of spaces we sometimes leave behind
