Wasnt that the problem with Pardew? his 4-4-2 system?
Re: ManUtd in CRISIS!
Nah that is far from the problems i had lol.
Hoofing, no movement, negative, benching creative players and so on.
Most of these have been worked on though, still not to standard i want to but getting there.

Carrik-Jones
......Kagawa...
Should be our MF three
Where is Rooney going to play?
Ideally infront of Kagawa. Buying RVP was a mistake IMO. Obvious why SAF did it. It was a short term solution so he could walk away on a high. But long term RVP + Rooney forces United into this 4-4-2 shape which is United's main problem IMO.
Been saying this for a while. Since SAF knew he was going to leave, he started dealing with short term solutions. How can you buy Kagawa and then buy RVP? Made no sense. Rooney should be deployed as our CF. Problem is we lack creativity in wide areas bar Januzaj (*bleep* pathetic tbh). Soo Rooney has to still drop deep and wide to pick up the ball. No penetration bar Kagawa and our wingers never run in behind. Valencia is crap one on one and shit at crossing, so what he offers is nothing bar beiing there so we can have 11 players. Creative wingers and a CM should be priorities, but what the *bleep* do I know...

The problem is without Roonay and Carrick they have no creative threat and their wingers have declined so they have no wide threat.
Buy quality CMs and quality wide players and the results will flow.
The hate towards 442 is ridiculous lol.... we just won 4 games in a row using it and finished 5th two seasons ago using it and also got to the Quarter finals of EL using it within a whisker of getting to the semi finals.
Man Utd ran away with the league using it, City ran away with it the year before using it.
Lerl.
4-4-2 can work obviously. Atletico Madrid are joint top in La Liga playing that system. Although it's a completely different variation with hardworking, technical, creative central midfielders on the wings who tuck inside and clog the middle. Atletico also cede possession. 4-4-2 without the ball is standard defensive formation anyway so their shape with the ball isn't as relevant.
And that's why I was specifically refering to United's 4-4-2 and not 4-4-2 per se. United play with traditional wingers. They are also expected to be proactive. Awful combination. It leaves them with 4 players upfront who aren't particularly creative (Rooney remains a striker even if he can spray some nice long balls) and 2 bodies in the middle, 1 of them being a defensive minded player. So who is creating in that team? And how is fluid passing football going to happen? Where are the associative players?
RVP and Rooney winning United games through individual quality doesn't mean their system is successful. They are getting outplayed everytime I watch them. Even under SAF last season.
Playing Kagawa behind Rooney would change a lot. Opens up space for another midfielder (Ander?) to begin with and all of a sudden Carrick, Ander, Kagawa with Rooney upfront could actually string passes together and play a completely different brand of football. Obviously Moyes is retarded and invests in Fellaini and bids € 40M for Khedira though. Should be sacked for that alone, not for the results. Because it shows his mentality which is backwards. Everton and Southampton have better coaches than Manchester United right now. lol

Re: ManUtd in CRISIS!
Tbf who cares about brand of football and passing.
Man Utd have never had that and likely never will, its not important especially in England when 9.9 times out of 10 it wins nothing.
What is important is that they have gone from Ronaldo and Tevez to Valencia and Januzaj and from Scholes to Cleverly and Hargreaves to Jones.
The problem isn't the system or style of play it never is, the problem is the players are crap..... players make the system not the other way round.
For all this obsession with midfielders and passing, Man Yoo won the league by close to 20 points last season and a lot of that was due to delivery from wide area and their two strikers.

Stop trolling. You and I both know he's the most exciting young talent in the Premier League since Ronaldo, and someone with one of the highest ceilings in world football. He'll need a little time though, we can't put all the pressure on him in his first real season.

Should have kept Bebe, he'd be your best winger currently.

Re: ManUtd in CRISIS!
IMO they loose the race for top 4 when arsenal beat them. What likely will happen is united go infront than arsenal score 2 goals. Rvp misses a sitter and in doing so injures his groin. United crumble and loose top 4 spot.

Re: ManUtd in CRISIS!
No idea how they could possibly make the top 4, I guess I'll give them till the end of January to try and save their season by actually adding quality to the team. However, they are lacking in every area of the team except Forward and Goalkeeper.
Good luck saving that in one month

If it is still relevant now, surely, they must be in crisis.
Also, 5 losses in 6 games

Watching United lose game after game feels so good. After all these years of getting lucky and being on top it nice to see them down.

United is not in crisis despite everyone thinking otherwise. Wait till the next season when people will start bitching about United dominating the league again.
