Re: Return Of The King
ricky is not a show off, he is serious individual, he is humble he is polite, and he is hardworking. he is not just here to enjoy and earn and leave. he wants to prove his point he wants to go to Brazil. and obviously for that he will put hardwork for us thats going to benefit us.KR10 wrote:Agreed on everything said above. People often underestimate the off-the-field benefits of having Kaka:JespSwe wrote:arigato ^O^VKR10 wrote:Dante, JespSwe - I completely agree with you guys about Kaka'. I have no doubt that he will be a tremendous player for us. Kaka' behind Balotelli and El Shaarawy is simply awesome.
People are entitled to their own opinion, but with the current situation milan finds itself in, I think Kaka was the best option.
A top quality AM is going to cost us 30+ million. Eriksen is really not that great, he's just overhyped. Not to mention his best position is CM not AM.
My only concern regarding Kaka' is his knee problems. But if we can stay injury free, I have no doubt this will be a great signing. I think 2 years from now, once our transition is truly over, we will have the money to buy a long term replacement (or rely on Sapo).
Also he is free, 4m wage.
I think once Honda arrives he can replace Poli in the starting lineup. Honda can play CM as well, altho Allegri might be too defensive to use him there.
given that we didnt have enough fund. this deal was justified. what more its ricky and we can be assured what we can get from him. i understand your concern but its been a while that kaka has been benched, in fact for more than a year he has been pretty much available for real without any injury issues we had heard before. so thats another good news.
regarding transition you are right.. infact i dont think we have to spend.. saponara will be ready... better yet... Hachim Mastour who milan has been desperately trying to get him to play, he will be ready by then!!! even better!!!
its funny, that Hachim Mastour in twitter and facebook was super excited about Kaka return!!! everything is falling in good place as of now.
in CL ever since he left we haven't been able to do better than last 16 for years now. this time around, i hope Kaka can pull us upto alteast semi final at best!! well thats a big hope though.!!
the better we do in CL the more money we can get to reinforce.
best thing about this deal like u said is that we are not paying Kaka hefty. in fact it was ricky who made this happen. 12 million a year to 4 million earning.. thats a lot of sacrifice he made just to come to us. he could have gone to premier league and earn more. but he loves Milan... !! and thats all that he needs, thats all we need.
fans passion and his own passion for milan will put him to good situation , kaka just said, he is one of the oldest now, and he knows whats up... he says he is ready to help youngsters and live good moments.
2 years... 2 years thats very short!!! lets hope 2 years will be good for him and good for milan!<3
1. He is a legitimate superstar and will be a great presence in the locker room, providing leadership, a good attitude, leadership, and mentoring for younger players (esp. saponara and el shaarawy)
2. He will bring more fans to the stadium. more fans = more money + better atmosphere at home games (which will in turn help us win).
3. JERSEY SALES!!!! this will be huge. I am for sure buying a Kaka' jersey. The ones they are selling in the US dont have an apostrophe after his name, which is infuriating. I already sent them a note regarding this.
4. Improved fan following - tons of people started watching milan because of kaka. Several of those will start watching milan again now.
Honda will have similar off-the-field benefits also. Both are coming for free. I guarantee a MASSIVE increase in revenue over last season, provided we at least reach r16 in champions league.
WELCOME HOME RICKY KAKA
so well said kr10.
yea ur right 100% kaka was our iconic figure to popularity, and that just dropped ever since he left. like galliani says.. "Now I hope Kaka's orphans, the 12,000 or 15,000 fans that stopped coming to the stadium when he left, will come back" we had galliani saying, the family just stopped coming...
the very next season after kaka left when we made announcement on season ticket sales, i remember in old goal.com forum discussing how it dropped drastically that it was almost frightening... it was almost shocking..

Tbh , i still find it strange Kaka is a Milan player again
i understand why many fans retain their concerns , but for me at least , it's pure joy to know Kaka will be playing for Milan again. I feel like everything has changed , not even when we signed Ibra i wasn't so confident and excited..
I wonder who's the next to rejoin us .. Pato or T.Silva .. will happen one day , you know it

Re: Return Of The King
I'm not sure many of you have watched Madrid over the past few years.
Yes, I'm happy that the golden boy is back and he will be benefiting us off the pitch and on the pitch with his leadership qualities and creativity. But, a lot of you have failed to acknowledge that Kaka has declined and he has lost the most important part of his game, his pace. His athleticism has also decreased a lot. Kaka has also shown failure to evolve his game with the loss of his pace like Arq said, at times he couldn't even do the basics in Madrid. Yes injuries did have an effect, but he has failed to show a recovery of form from these injuries when chances were available.
Honestly, I like Kaka in fact he's one of my favorite players, but you should realize he's 31 and his most important attribute has decreased dramatically. I kind of find it asinine that some posters here claim they would rather have a 31-year-old washed up Kaka instead of a 21-year-old Eriksen. Eriksen has the potential to become a superstar and he's pretty damn good. You lot would rather have an unproven Serie B youngster and a 31 year Kaka (who is unlikely to return to form) over Eriksen? I'm sorry, but nostalgia is blinding your judgement. Honda is also approaching his peak, would you seriously have a washed up player over a player approaching his peak? You lot also seem to suggest that Honda may replace Poli in the lineup let me clear something up. Honda is NOT a CM and I highly doubt Allegri will play him there, Honda is lazy and he doesn't offer much defensive cover. Honda is a CAM/SS, he plays as a CAM in a 4-2-3-1 for CSKA and Japan and when he did play as a CM which was back in 2010, he complained to the coach that he did not want to play there. What can we imply from these few statements? He doesn't offer enough defensive cover nor does he like playing as a CM.
Now I've heard some Milanisti claim that Kaka can have a regain of form like Pirlo. Yes, there are similarities, but there are also differences. I'll mention them:
Similarities: Both weren't motivated, both suffered from injuries and they were both played out-of-position at times.
Differences: One didn't have his most important strength decline, the other one did. And, the other one (Kaka) has failed to adapt to that.
I'm not done yet, doesn't the Kaka move go against our youth policy? It feels all too familiar Galliani and co. claim that we will start focusing on youth, but instead they buy old players who are unlikely to return to form. Most of the time they bring back an old washed up legend to please the fans in times of need. And this is another example, I really think Kaka will end up being Sheva 2.0, I hope he doesn't, but I feel like he will flop . For the record I know that with the youth policy we should not expect that all our signings will be youth, but when there are younger options in the said position available, shouldn't we move for the younger option and not the older option?
Now since my thoughts are mostly centered around the negatives, I do have some positive thoughts on the move. Like I said earlier in my post Kaka benefits Milan on and off the pitch. On the pitch? He offers leadership and experience as well as being quite creative so he can play as a TQ. Off the pitch? He is quite a popular player so we can expect more shirt sales, more tickets bought and more money. And since some of our younger players look up to Kaka, that increases their morale and motivates them more. They can also learn a thing from him, SES and Saponara will benefit from Kaka the most I think and young Mastour also seems excited that he has rejoined Milan.
All in all, I'm not the biggest fan of the move. Yes, signing him means that we have a TQ at the moment and we will benefit on and off the pitch with his arrival. But, I really don't think he'll do that good for us in fact, I think he might flop because the truth is, that he has yet to evolve his game with the loss of his pace and he has looked very bad for Madrid over the past couple of years. But, if Kaka does flop at least we have Honda coming in Jan. as a replacement and if Honda is our starter Kaka will probably be gone next summer and he will most likely be offloaded to LA Galaxy. Will I cheer for Kaka? Of course I will, but I don't expect him to very good and I see a Sheva 2.0 scenario likely. If Kaka does good? I'll be happy and I will accept that I was wrong with my original premise, but by the end of the day what's important is that Milan do good and we meet our targets for this season.

Re: Return Of The King
Even though i certainly don't agree with how you evaluate Kaka's signing , i understand how you think and your main concerns , in general lines.
I ll speak for myself , i've watched plenty of Kaka since he left Milan.
You seem to neglect the fact that the game in Spain and the game in Italy is being played quite differently . He doesn't need that much pace in Italy because the tempo in Serie A is a level below compared to Spain. There's more tactics and caution involved and Kaka has and will be able to deal with it .
You seem to neglect the fact that Real have lost faith in Kaka for an extended period of time , as soon as his 2nd season , for reasons well known , no need for details . This is a major issue for a player like Kaka. Now , he will have whatever he needs , both as a player and as a man back in Milan and you completely overlook the importance of this .
You seem to neglect the fact that Real and Milan plan , attack and execute their game quite differently . He needed to be super fast in total counter attacking Madrid , in a league with a higher than the norm tempo. That's not the norm in Italy and Milan in particular. Kaka is tailor made for current Milan and Serie standards.
I don't think Kaka is as badly slow as you seem to think. Sure he has lost a good amount of pace , but not that much as to be unable to execute certain basics. Kaka was always an example of proffesionalism and this hasn't changed actualy. He's not a kid anymore , but he is still able to offer plenty to Milan. Real is a different case and it's the past right now.
As for Eriksen and Honda , personaly i am not deluded , it's not that i don't like Eriksen , or Honda. But yes , i do preffer Kaka over Eriksen , given the fact that Eriksen didn't want Milan , he wanted to play in the PL. This is not fifa , Milan doesn't need players who doesn't need Milan in their carreers. Can't give a shit about Eriksen right now , simply because we have the experience in Kaka and a great prospect in Saponara. If one day Saponara turns out he can't handle , we will find someone else , end of story. Eriksen wouldn't do a better job this season and at this age than Kaka . So yes , Kaka it is for me , it's not like he will spend another decade on the lineup.
Honda is quite over rated to an extent even though i wouldn't mind him to join us. What i am certain of and like Jesp who has followed him more than any of us , he isn't the elite player or the game changer most think. The fact he mentioned yesterday , that he hesitates in his decision making , is quite worrying to say the least. Boateng did that often and it was infuriating.
You claim Honda is a lazy player and you would preffer him over Kaka , lol . Kaka was never lazy , not even with his defensive duties. The end result is another case , but lazy was never the case with him.
In the end , you think Kaka is finished and you are accustomed to your opinion , which is fine. I think elsewise . I don't expect nor demand from Kaka to become THE protagonist , he did that when it was his time to be. I expect him to help this new Milan find their way to become the protagonist , which doesn't just happen with lazy Cska players or players who don't have Milan as their 1st choice.

Re: Return Of The King
Great posts from Cas and Dante. Pretty much sums up both sides of the argument. I chose to be optimistic and share similar views to Dante because I love Milan and kaka and simply can't handle the thought of this move going poorly. Deep down, I truly believe Kaka will be a great signing. Can't wait for his San Siro debut.
One more thing - kaka will have plenty of space to work with playing behind balotelli- Balo will draw 2-3 defenders, giving kaka more time and space. This can compensate for his decreased pace.

Re: Return Of The King
Something else , which is very important. In a season when Fiorentina , Napoli , Roma , Inter and Napoli are going badly for a CL place , tell me more about how new guys in Serie A football like Honda-Eriksen would kill the competition better than Kaka who knows Serie A (and European football) like few else.
Please. We needed Kaka and he has come to the right place at the right time. There will be time for Kaka's true replacement , but it's been 4 years now and we couldn't do it. Not every young attacking midfielder will be an upgrade , or just better than 31 year old Kaka.

I am very happy that we got Kaká. Although it is against our youth policy, Kaká offers experience which is desperately needed in big games, he also has the ability to motivate other players like SES and Saponara by being their idol.

Kaka will mentor SES and Saponara, we must not forget that Milan is built off experienced players guiding the younger players. You can tell we went away from that for a couple years and lost our Identity. Kaka is not only good for on the field experience, but also on the field.

I was pissed at Galliani trying to get Kaka back all these years. We finally had a youth thing going and Galliani had to screw it up.
But then one day I was scrolling through my Facebook and the A.C. Milan page had put up pictures of Ricky holding the red and black jersey in his hands and smiling.
All that anger and frustration went away. Not only that, but I was filled with so much joy.
*bleep* youth. Its Kaka. So looking forward to watching him again. The Milanisti at the San Siro better put up an awesome welcome cause I know I would have if I were there.

i feel like the more less optimistic people here tend to forget the financials of this deal, in terms of the finances i felt this was a great deal that galliani pulled off, and IF kaka can mentor the youngsters, increase the viewership and perform decent on field ill be happy enough with this transfer, maybe my expectations are much lower, but anything on top of that ill take as bonus, considering we got him back for free (5M depending blahblahblah)...

no deal with galaxy says galliani, deal with milan is 2 years with kaka, no galaxy deals whatsoever involved...
regarding honda, galliani funnily replies, its been just 1 day since transfer market closed, and its still 30 degrees outside lets not talk about winter hahahaha
galliani on 2008 deal... kaka never asked for request to leave Milan. galliani says there was enormous offer for Kaka, even in Janaury (probably referring to mancity 100 million deal) but we managed to resist.
sheva did request to leave but kaka never did ... galliani
and regarding mourinho kaka says its absolutely not mourinho fault for his time. kaka says he had bad luck with injuries but he worked and made himsef available to mourinho but mourinho had to decide the team. kaka says he learnt a lot on professional and personal level from him
that humility and respect by kaka!!!!!!

kaka said after milan's proposition and having discussed with agent and father, his father gave advice and kaka decided to accept milan's deal. but then it was late at night and ricky said, " I had to call galliani 5 times!!!!! and galliani's repressentatives replied the phone saying, "if you accept the deal... we will wake him up if you don't accept the deal, we won't wake him up"
LMAO!!! i almost died crying!!!!

galliani says kaka return was all about heart and emotion, and emotion that has never ever happened to him or any fans on any other players. he says kaka came to us in 2003 and now in 2013 under different circumstances.El Shaarawy wrote:Haven't seen a chill presentation like this in a while lol

thankfully there was no questions regarding kaka's expectations thats good. kaka himself says he is back to enjoy football, and only in milan he thinks its possible. kaka says he has been training and at allegri's disposal.
there are lot of discussion in this press conference but as for now, Kaka has left the press conference to head back to Milanello to have lunch and then train...

118 - @KAKA has been involved in 118 Serie A goals for @acmilan (70 goals+48 assists), at least 14 in each season.
rest assured kaka will have highest assist for us!!
