and thus increasing the value of Real Madrid and marketing possibilities . Not just that but i debunked your point of RM earning less than 140 mill...which is not the case...with a collective TV deal the total amount La liga getting will be almost double than what they gets now.The_Badger wrote:And you claim my comment was poor logic!Adit wrote:Having a collective deal will give the league more exposure and viewers.

I think both will make the next squad. If Coutinho keeps playing as well as he has and Willian starts of well here Scolari will be a fool to ignore both.
Not saying Willian is better than Coutinho but the former has to displace that scrub Hulk while Coutinho has Oscar/Neymar in front of him.

But you didn't debunk it as it isn't a proper centralised TV deal. It is still a warped and wholly unfair proposal that is designed to try and shut up the dissenters despite the huge disparity still existing.Adit wrote:and thus increasing the value of Real Madrid and marketing possibilities . Re: Gareth Bale Transfer Saga V.2
Except it is a collective deal. The money distribution is different for different leagues and La liga is expecting a huge increase ( almost 200% ) means Real and Barca will not be earning less than what they earn now,it stays almost the same as of now. So yeah, with a centralized deal Real and Barca will be earning slightly more than now but other clubs will be getting 650 mill more to them.The_Badger wrote:But you didn't debunk it as it isn't a proper centralised TV deal. Re: Gareth Bale Transfer Saga V.2
So the huge disparity will still exist and the problem will remain!
What intuitive forward thinking that is!

Re: Gareth Bale Transfer Saga V.2
The entire point of having a centralized deal is to increase the amount of money the league makes. Which is what the proposed deal will do. The distributive mechanism can be used for a range of things, in this case, the league is striving for proportionate distribution. Under this, the ideal is that clubs are rewarded for what they bring in and what they do on the pitch.The_Badger wrote:But you didn't debunk it as it isn't a proper centralised TV deal. What this does is actually create a financial incentive for success. It will also help all the clubs to negotiate better sponsorship and marketing deals. This, we hope, will help prevent situations like the ones we've encountered in the past where clubs like Valencia and the rest are forced to sell their best players and breakup very good teams just to prevent themselves from going under.
Yes, a disparity will exist. I don't know why that's what people choose to focus on. If clubs are given adequate opportunity to be financially healthy - what is the problem? You want us to take our money and give it to clubs who have no idea what they're doing?
That's not going to help us.
People seem to think the inherent trade off of Madrid and Barcelona being rich, is the poverty of others. That couldn't be further from the case. Whatever tiny amount of money most of the other clubs in Spain make comes directly out of the exposure both these clubs give to the Spanish league; almost completely independently. Now, we want to help all these clubs get better, because it's a logical move for us. We just don't want to sacrifice ourselves in the process.
Is that too much to ask?

Re: Gareth Bale Transfer Saga V.2
But it isn't "your" money. It is money that a collective organisation receives and distributes (unfairly) amongst the league members.
Your rather myopic and nauseating view, complete with conjecture based on ifs and buts is typical slaver I would expect from RM fans trying to defend and justify theirs and Barca's bullying of the situation in Spain.
I wonder how many fans from the other clubs in Spain would be so enthusiastic about it.

Right now it's our money. When the agreement is established, Madrid and Barcelona will be the two main negotiating points and will bring in the majority of the money.The_Badger wrote:But it isn't "your" money. Other clubs, for the most part should be happy. Because all of them will see an increase in revenue. They can either take a fair deal, or shoot themselves in the foot and cry about inequality.

Re: Gareth Bale Transfer Saga V.2
But it isn't a fair deal. Why do you persist in trying to claim it is? It does nothing to remedy the problem, or part of, in Spanish football and simply exacerbates it.
It shows how incredibly weak the league officials are when they allow themselves to be bullied and browbeaten by Barca and RM at the detriment of every other club in Spain.

Re: Gareth Bale Transfer Saga V.2
Alright then. Tell me:
a. What is the problem in Spanish football?
b. What you would do to fix it?
c. Why Madrid and Barcelona would agree to your proposed solution?
No one is bullying the Spanish Football Federation. Madrid and Barca simply act independently of them, because they're somewhat in-competent. Now both clubs are trying to work with them to save the league. That doesn't require sacrifice, it requires working together. We don't want to give up the money we make...who in their right minds would.
But what's fair - at least in my opinion - is to give other clubs a chance to earn more money. Under any form of collective agreement, they should be in a much better position to do so.
It comes down to C. We're doing this for us, if the deal doesn't help us we don't do it. And since you've made it clear you don't think any fair deal can help us, then anything you propose will get shot down.
So, sincerely, Stay Mad.

That's why I'm interested in the opinion of genuine supporters of other clubs in La Liga rather than the obviously biased opinions of plastic/glory RM and Barca fans.
I've posted a link to an article that tells you everything you need to know about the situation in Spain and unsurprisingly it has gone ignored.

Re: Gareth Bale Transfer Saga V.2
The article you posted outlines the problem fairly well...apart from the unnecessary statement that we make 500 million and others make a fraction of that. Clubs are poor, they have debts they can't pay, they have difficulty generating mone. Everyone knows that.
It offers no solution - I suppose the implies that we should give up what we have to meet their need. That's a parochial and simplistic outlook.Though, it's inherent stupidity isn't it's primary shortcoming.
It's main problem is this. We're under no obligation to do it. If it looks like we'll get done wrong, no deal will be reached. So everyone will suffer. The collective agreement, as proposed, will go a long way toward assuaging debt and creating a better league...as well as bridging the inequality gap.
Your problem with it is that it don't directly hurt Madrid and Barcelona; and help everyone else. Sad day for you.

Re: Gareth Bale Transfer Saga V.2
Unless Barca and RM receive zero, anything else won't hurt so stop being so melodramatic.
Barca and RM could agree to participate in a 50:25:25 like the PL operates and still receive a sizable income, but they won't and the Spanish league is weak and servile to their demands.

Re: Gareth Bale Transfer Saga V.2
Bale will join for €100m (£86m), according to the Telegraph. There's no played included in the deal.
An official announcement could be made on Tuesday.
Bale is currently in a villa in Malaga waiting for the deal to be done. He'll sign a 6 year contract and get £8.5m a year before tax.

Di Maria's no longer a starter with Isco joining. Now with Bale joining there's a chance he'll be leaving.

Re: Gareth Bale Transfer Saga V.2
I hope di María leaves as soon as possible as I see his chances in Madrid very limited and he should be more ambitious than warming the bench before the World Cup next year.
Benítez please grab the phone and call Mr. De Laurentiis

Re: Gareth Bale Transfer Saga V.2
Di Maria has to leave ASAP . WC is next year and he hs to play more than last season in order to be ready . And this is clearly not happening. The dude is the ultimate scape-goat at Madrid.

Bale is the biggest Brittish footballer since Becks (well... Maybe next to Roo)
