^ You are terrible MT. Actively wanting a player of your own team to flop. Can't wait until Madrid win la decima with Bale netting a hattrick in the final !

I doubt it. Not after what's happened with Mourinho over the past few years.Casciavit wrote:MTYohan Modric wrote:Hopefully Ancelotti goes against Perez and benches Bale.
If he does that he'll get sacked.

Re: Gareth Bale Transfer Saga V.2
Yeah he will, how do you think the president would feel if he spent 100 million on a player (breaking the world record fee) and that player is getting benched by the coach? Especially when it his first season ffs.Yohan Modric wrote:I doubt it. If I was in Perez shoes I wouldn't be very happy, and AFAIK Perez has the mentality that all his Galaticos signings should play.
One of the reasons VDB was sacked was because he decided to play a functional team instead of playing all the galacticos into a starting 11, he forced that on Carlos Queiroz and where did they end up? 4th, 5th?
The guy is a joke, and so is the transfer fee, but you never know Bale might turn out to be pretty damn good and its asinine that you're hoping he fails.
If I was a Madrid fan I would be disappointed about the fee regarding this transfer, but since he's going to come whether i like it or not I should be optimistic regarding his performances and hope that he helps out the team, rather than hoping he fails.

Re: Gareth Bale Transfer Saga V.2
I doubt he would randomly sack Ancelotti a few months after appointing him just because he isn't playing Bale. I'm sure Perez has learned from his previous mistakes. It's not really a case of the team not playing well and Ancelotti deserving to be sacked.
Mourinho had a lot of freedom during his time and I'm sure Perez will trust Ancelotti.
Casillas is worth a lot to the club and I can't see Perez sacking Ancelotti because Diego Lopez is playing instead.
In terms of fans liking or disliking Bale, well I'm not saying I want him to fail. I'll just be indifferent towards him.

Don't listen to him.... if the ball leaves the ground its hoofball as far as Adit is concerned.
In his mind Dortmund and Bayern play hoof ball.

This hoofball B.S needs to die just like the 'false 9' fettish people develop.
Some teams do rely on a long ball, but now people think if you don't spend half the match passing it backwards and sideways, and you're a little more direct then you're hoofing it.

Mixing it up and going long to a target occasionally is not hoofball....BarrileteCosmico wrote:Tbf Dortmund played hoofball vs MalagaGreat Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Don't listen to him.... if the ball leaves the ground its hoofball as far as Adit is concerned.

People say hoofball say often now they have forgotten what it actually means.... hoofball is when you aimlessly punt the ball in the air and hope it will find a target.
Methodically sending accurate balls to a target man occasionally to mix it up isn't hoofball.
Believe me as a supporter of a team managed by Alan Pardew i know the difference

What if you don't have a target man and someone like Pepe hoofs it for no reason?

Re: Gareth Bale Transfer Saga V.2
Exactly.
I guess Pirlo plays hoofball, constantly making 40 yard passes in behind the defence. It requires no skill as opposed to turning 180degrees and giving it back to your Goalkeeper with no pressure.

If you're so 'mad' about their obsession(s) its better not to give them the attention rather than continously quoting their posts.Atleast then they'll eventually stop because it will become boring to troll.B-Mac wrote:bordering on Altoz obsession levelsAdit wrote:Pass it to wings ----cross it to box it is eventually

I do like attacking football, but teams should play to there strengths rather than playing what people think is ''right''.

Re: Gareth Bale Transfer Saga V.2
Agreed.
If you have a big, strong striker who can hold the ball up well and fight for the 50/50s, along with some physical players who aren't particularly technical, you'd just be an idiot to force them to not use their strong points.
You're a manager, unless you're working with a gigantic budget with the ability to build a team you want, it's ALL about the points.
Those points will help you go up the league, earn more money, become a more attractive club for players etc etc. And who knows, perhaps then you can buy some technical players.
But nah, everybody should keep the ball on the ground and look to play total football, despite not having a single player capable of doing so.

There's a new merchandising opportunity for Madrid in all of this: Real Madrid helmets for people sitting behind the goals.
