Great signing for them. He'll finish top scorer for you guys. Class player if used right.

Any fee attached to make the deal permanent, NUFC fans?

He's on loan deal now, no fee confirmed at moment for permanent deal I guess.

With Cisse, Remy and Gomis (hope he comes), Newcastle will be spoilt for striker options

That's hitting below the belt. Newcastle are obviously a much better club than Marseille.World class players such as Alan Shearer, Faustino Asprilla and Beardsly have graced the club before, but I can't say the same for Marseille.

What do you think about the Remy deal now Mole ? Still happy with it ?

Just had my neighbor raging about there being no option to buy following JFKs latest admission.

As long as we buy him at the end of it i don't care really. But if we let him go back to QPR i will be fuming.

Its funny actually he hasn't kicked a ball yet and we are already desperate for him to play Laughing

I heard what Kinnear said but i'll wait and see before i go mad because the man has a history of being a pathological liar.

jesus christ the things you can read on GL

did i just slip into some paralel unvierse where marseille didn't win the champions league in 1993 , reach the final in 1991 , and newcastle's sole european triumph isn't a freaking intertoto cup in 2006 ?
hell , even at intertoto level, marseille had the upper hand , they won it before newcastle, in 2005   .

World class players such as Alan Shearer, Faustino Asprilla and Beardsly have graced the club before, but I can't say the same for Marseille

Didier Deschamps , Rudi Völler , Jean-Pierre Papin ,Laurent Blanc , robert pires, frank ribery , didier drogba ,Fabrizio Ravanelli ,Chris Waddle , George Weah , Claude Makélélé ,Jean Tigana ,Éric Cantona etc......

all scrubs .

It's a shame some people cannot recognize the difference between a once great team who has fallen on hard times and a team that has been great once (or twice) and flatters to deceive most seasons.

By the way, all three of those examples made their names elsewhere and were head-hunted by Newcastle.
Faustino Asprilla (with Parma):
UEFA Cup Winners' Cup winner: 1992/93
UEFA Cup Winners' Cup runner-up: 1993/94
European Super Cup winner: 1993
UEFA Cup winner: 1994/95, 1998/99

Peter Beardsley (with Liverpool):
Football League First Division Champions: 1987–88, 1989–90
FA Cup Winner: 1989
FA Charity Shield Winner: 1988, 1989 and 1990 (shared)

Alan Shearer (with Blackburn):
Premier League winner: 1994–95

All three at Newcastle (combined):
FA Premier League Runner-up: 1995–96, 1996–97
FA Charity Shield Runner-up: 1996
FA Cup finalist: 1998, 1999
