Re: Nasri offered 110k
Essientially, Nasri has two options now:
1) Accept the new £110,000 a week contract, if we are actually offering him that, and hope that the club matches his ambition.
2) Reject the contract and subsequently force Arsenal to sell him to anyone willing to offer £20,000,000 or so, less he leaves on a free next year, and join one of Manchester City, Manchester United or Chelsea for a reported salary of £150,000 plus a greater chance of silverware.
...We're not looking like a good proposition at the moment, are we? I wouldn't be at all surprised if option two was the one Nasri took. I'd actually be shocked if he signed an extension at this point.

Re: Nasri offered 110k
i hope he rejects it, if he takes it then there will be problems
rvp is on 80k who is a better player by miles. Wont feel good at all
other players will think that they can get a raise as well if nasri can
nasri has turned every single arsenal fan against him. IF he takes the contract, he will be like adebayor, money whore

I think if you look at RVP's wage per game played, he's the highest at Arsenal by far lol.

Re: Nasri offered 110k
The salary scale is a interesting issue, hope it wont give any ideas to some...
Clownderon messed up the salary balance at RM, and guys like Drenthe found themselves earning 3M/year, Lass 4.5M/year, and now he wants to earn 5M/year, that's what we pay Ozil. Ridiculous.
hope you dont get in that nasty circle

Re: Nasri offered 110k
The problem with our wage structure at the moment is that our top players are being paid much less than other top players at other clubs, while our average players are earning far too much.
For example:
Denilson is suposedly earning something between £30,000 and £40,000 p/w.
Samir Nasri is reportedly on £60,000 p/w.
Jack Wilshere is now earning between £40,000 and £50,000 p/w.
Bendtner is on a similar wage to Denilson.
Walcott earns between £50,000 and £60,000.
In an ideal world, Denilson's and Bendtner's wages would be about £10,000 smaller, but as it is they earn too much, so our top guys earn less to compensate.
That's why we're having difficulty offloading Denilson and Bendtner, since they're young and unlikely to accept a wage cut. Meanwhile, our best players want to earn more but the club is unwilling to do so. Not because they don't agree with paying players a hell of a lot of money, but because they simply can't pay them a lot otherwise expenditure will be too high.
In short, the balance is messed up.

Re: Nasri offered 110k
The papers have driven every Arsenal fan crazy almost this year, I believe that Nasri wants to stay at Arsenal and he will sign a contract soon.
The only thing I heard from Nasri so far is, he said not to believe the papers, that's why the media is trying to destroy him.
110k is not much for a footballer who is as good as Nasri.

Re: Nasri offered 110k
No bids yet for Nasri
Sky Sports sources understand that Arsenal have yet to receive a formal offer for Samir Nasri following an enquiry from Manchester United.
Reports had suggested that the Gunners had rejected an offer in the region of £20million from the Premier League champions.
It was also claimed that Arsenal might be prepared to sell the Frenchman, who has just one year remaining on his current contract, for around £25m.

Re: Nasri offered 110k
I would laugh pretty hard if this was entirely fabricated by the media.
That initial interview with that french place where he said he would consider an offer from united never happened.
United/City never made bids.
His contract with Arsenal is jammed in the printer, which is why he hasn't signed a new one yet. Also nicely explaining why Gervinho's one is delayed.
