Re: Wayne Rooney transfer saga
Complete BS...He has been a Ghost for the past two seasons.something-red wrote:He's carried United on his own since Ronaldo's left the club...Arsenalfaithfull wrote:I miss the old angry chavish Rooney from mid 2000s. Wonder where it went wrong for him.
I mean that is not to say that he is no longer a top tier player.... but he could have been a lot better.
And now that Chelsea are after Eto'o, i hope Rooney rots in United's Reserves.

He was a ghost before RVP came??? lol. He had 35 goals and 6 assists for Man U in 2011-2012 despite being injured until December...

Re: Wayne Rooney transfer saga
really? You remember that Man U was over 10 points behind Man City in December and came all the way back to only lose the title on the last day... he carried them that season. Man U was tied with Arsenal before Rooney came back and torched the league

You really are clueless. Against nobodies? Scored against Tottenham both home and away, a Hattrick against Arsenal, Scored against Chelsea and then Scored a double against Chelseaaway and scored a double over LiverpoolGrooverider wrote:..does not count when you're scoring against somebody nobody teams in the FA/League cup.sportsczy wrote:He was a ghost before RVP came??? lol. At the end of the day whatever he happened to do in the past few seasons is now completely irrelevant.jibers wrote:You really are clueless. Against nobodies? He wants to leave, then so be it...sell him.
He acts like a spoiled brat and makes transfer requests at the drop of a hat, two in three years in fact.
No one is bigger than the club, no one should ever show such disrespect.
His unprofessionalism makes my blood boil considering what he is being paid by the club.

so you realized everything you have just said is false and you don't have a clue, so now the past doesn't matter because you have no idea what you are talking about
that change of tone
that back tracking

Re: Wayne Rooney transfer saga
I don't think Rooney ever dropped a second transfer request, I think it was all media hype in may trying to rattle things up. Either way Rooney's party also came forth and said there was no transfer request submitted end of last season. And also one more thing is Rooney has been very quiet, he has not stepped up and said anything, unlike Suarez who openly kept talking about wanting to move. I fail to see where he was acting like a big baby, when there is nothing said by him except for the fact that he likes playing up front. Either way some of you are just clueless and blindly following stupid media hype.

Some of them? near enough all of the recent posters have missed my points all together and have resorted to immature remarks.Uncanny wrote:I don't think Rooney ever dropped a second transfer request, I think it was all media hype in may trying to rattle things up. The big baby should go, and go now...otherwise Moyes will have trouble on his hands in and out of the dressing rooms.

Re: Wayne Rooney transfer saga
I think your the one missing points in this entire saga, one if united let Rooney go to Chelsea, they are simply strengthening their rivals and weakening themselves, two united haven't signed anyone, and this will be a double blow. I'm all in for them to sell him to us, but it won't make logical sense to united. If you compare Rooney and RVP, Rooney is much more versatile and can be playmaker and striker, which makes him the best player on their squad. This isn't like selling him to Real Madrid who is in another league, or else Moyes and United probably would have caved in by now. No ones being a baby here, Rooney wants playing time and needs to play in big games especially since its World Cup year, a monstrous wage doesn't mean crap of he's not even on the bench.Grooverider wrote:Some of them? near enough all of the recent posters have missed my points all together and have resorted to immature remarks.Uncanny wrote:I don't think Rooney ever dropped a second transfer request, I think it was all media hype in may trying to rattle things up. But at the sametime I can't see how keeping Rooney is going to help Moyes either

Open to debate whether a 32-yo Eto'o is a meaningful update to Chelsea's strike force.

He's 32, not 42 and he is competing with Torres, Ba and a talent but still raw kid.Art Morte wrote:Open to debate whether a 32-yo Eto'o is a meaningful update to Chelsea's strike force.
I would be a meaningful upgrade.
