Wayne Rooney transfer saga
So, why do United keep on insisting that Rooney isn't for sale? They don't need him that bad and didn't even Moyes say that "if RVP gets injured, we'll need Wayne then"? Doesn't make him sound exactly irreplacable, does it?
Since Chelsea have already bid £20m for him I expect him to finally leave United for Chelski. Perhaps Arsenal with a late bid if they fail to sign Higuain or anyone else, but if Chelsea are properly interested and not just trying to irritate United then I believe we'll see Rooney in blue by September.

Re: Wayne Rooney transfer saga
Moyes comments are dumb because Rooney hasn't played alone upfront for us in like 3 seasons, so RVP being healthy or hurt doesn't matter he will play, just he is 2nd choice to slot up front leading the line....Rooney hasn't been a #9 for us in years been a #10 for 3 seasons now.
stupid people jumping all over stupid comments by moyes.
and £20 million, they must be having a laugh
btw just want to point out the fact when Rooney is happy and content with United he is a overrated English scrub
as soon as he is rumoured to be on the transfer market everybody suddenly loves him and wants him on there team
just an observation, that is all.

Re: Wayne Rooney transfer saga
Maybe Utd saying Roons isn't for sale is because he probably isn't. But at the same time, Utd doesn't want to be in a position where the player (Rooney) dictates their pace. Very interesting transfer saga. Utd would do well not to sell him, definitely not to Chelsea...

30 mill + Mata and Chelsea can have him.
The whole thing is a circus atm. No way it would spiral the way it has under SAF and Gill. Learning curve for Moyes and Woodward.
90% certain that Rooney won't be at Utd next season.

Small chances to see Fabregas at Manchester United this summer, unfortunately .
On topic: In my opinion Rooney will stay and everything will be fine. Sad for us if I will be wrong.

Only holdup is that Rooney wants to stay in EPL. If he comes off that requirement, i think the Rooney/Ibra swap gets done fairly quickly. Even the wages match lol.

Are you forgetting the whole debacle in 2010 or 2011 when Rooney said United lacked ambition and he wanted to leave?
that was probably worse than this one. A.K.A he wants to leave. Which is just about it. He's not slated the club this time.

Ibra's value is lesser than Rooney now due to his age.If there were to be a swap involved it would be Ibra + cash for Rooney.

Watch teams sit back and hit them on the break to great effect.
Ibra and RVP are the first line of defence. That's just non existant.
Kagawa too isn't exactly Rooney in helping the team
Clev and Fab, lol.
Carrick would be left anchoring the MF and when he fails to do that, he has to rely on a young full back and two 57 year old injury Prone CB's to pick up the slack.

Ibra is the more lethal scorer though... he's rated higher as a player. Age only matter based on resale value and Rooney's resale value will plummet in 2 years. That said, i expect maybe 10 mil added by PSG. Not more.Surag wrote:Ibra's value is lesser than Rooney now due to his age.If there were to be a swap involved it would be Ibra + cash for Rooney.

Rooney + 10 mil for Ibra and Sakho
Do it Moyes
RVP tracked back often and saved us a bunch of times last season defensively
complete player

Re: Wayne Rooney transfer saga
that's why I said Rooney + 10 mil brah
I'd hate to see Rooney go to Chelsea and to a lesser extent Arsenal. I'd take Ibra but I don't see that realistically happening. Rooney is an amazing player still but pulling this nonsense again, time for him to part company with the club.
It's the chick who plays Dany on GOT

Again, why is Chelsea okay with selling Mata? He should be the number one not for sale at any cost player but instead he is a fkin BARGAINING CHIP? I seriously am missing something here.

Because he's Chelsea's best player, but not a Mourinho player.
He's already established himself as the first choice on the team sheet and that infuriates Mourinho.
