Arsenal can double that 35m... they won't get him. The only way he's leaving is if Madrid is interested. I'm still 90% sure that he will be a Liverpool player by September 1 as Madrid will come for him late. We won't sell him in August.

I know nothing about the journo, but I feel like that rumor is legit, and it sounds to me like Arsenal and RM are playing chicken with each other, using Suarez as the cliff. And I really don't like it. It's going to unsettle Suarez even more than he is already without us receiving a legitimate or acceptable bid, and I'm worried it'll force us into an uncomfortable situation.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn these rumors are being leaked straight from Arsenal and RM's front offices as part of their strategies, either.

Just thinking about it, would you guys be happy to replace suarez with higuain, Eriksen and Alderweireld. Assuming madrid would cough out Higuain plus 25 mil

I think that would a net upgrade to our starting 11, but at the same time we have the money left from our initial budget to pick up Eriksen and Alderweireld without selling Suarez, so in my mind there's an optimal option that's a better choice than that one.

I'd personally take Higgy + 25m for Suarez, but that would definitely mean moving Sturridge to the right and I don't know how I feel about that. Also another problem is that Borini is basically an exact copy of a poor man's Higgy. Gonzalo's arrival would kind of render Fabio useless in a way.

Suarez's latest comments have really pissed me off, so I really couldn't care less what we get for him, just get rid of him sooner so that we can use the money and find suitable replacements.

According to current reports (doesnt matter how BS they are), which one would you guys like from the following:
1. Shaqiri + £25 million
2. Higuain + £15 million
3. £35 million from arsenal
Just mentioned third one for record, I would go with the first one.

Not particularly, no. He gets some stories right, but gets even more wrong... just as nearly all journalists do these days. He certainly has no inside sources at either of the clubs involved.

1. Worth £40-50m depending on how you value Shaqiri
2. Worth £35-45m depending on how you value Higuain
3. Worth £35m

I certainly know which I wouldn't choose. That said, I don't think Higuain is what we need and he's certainly not what we'd want to replace Suarez. Shaqiri is definitely closer to what we'd want to replace Suarez and an overall better fit for what Rodgers wants in the squad, in my opinion. If that was a real offer and we HAD to choose one of the three, #1 would be my choice. I don't think any of those offers are currently on the table though and can't see either player being interested in joining LFC permanently (Shaqiri might accept a season's loan... might. Ideally, none of those offers would be accepted as I'd bet they wouldn't trigger the supposed £40m clause.

Bascombe of The Telegraph (usually reliable) has stated that Liverpool are not interested in Eriksen or Shaqiri at the moment though. Given the last we've heard from any Echo reporters is that Eriksen isn't currently on the radar I think it may be time to shelve any hopes of that move materializing.

Rumored offer is worse then the one we are talking about Higuian+10m cash.

How authentic are the Hig & Cash or Saq & Cash offers!!! I really don't see either of them joining LFC. Even if we match their wage demand (which would be huge, specially for Hig) they would be swapping a CL contender (in terms of winning and not just qualifying) team for a team struggling to even qualify for CL.
