Personally, I would love it if this happened. Very good cover in all areas of the pitch. I am a big fan of Rooney. Please talk formation possibilities with Rooney and Neymar in the picture.

well.I dont think that move will happen but i do know United will   look like a spineless club if they keep Rooney after him bullying ManU like some kind of village club 2nd time in last 3 years.

Rooney is not leaving.

I don't see it working very well. Rooney would have to play at right wing or move messi there again which I don't think it will happen. Both scenarios are troublesome. I would prefer to sign Bale, Reus or Draxler who all can naturally slot in the right wing position and could also help in adding some needed cms to our side.

I would also like Reus, who might be cheaper and a better option anyway. Come to think of it, would Reus actually be cheaper?

Let's start talking hypothetically here. Regardless of Rooney coming to Barcelona, I am still interested in where he would slot and how he would function in our team. I believe Rooney would excel with us. He can play the role Villa was playing, at a younger age, should be better long term. Maybe the best cover for Messi.

Rooney would probably be good at CB. At least better than Song.

We've got neymar to play the "Villa role" and be a cover to Messi. That's why I don't see Rooney fitting in.

He wouldn't be able to fit in since he can't play RW.

Why not move Neymar to the right and put Rooney on the left? Unless you guys think Neymar is better than an in form Rooney...

Rooney has far to bigger ego to go to any club and be cover, the truth of the matter is if an in form Rooney walks into most teams on the planet so I doubt he'd be cover rather a member of the forward three.

It wont happen as he wont leave.

it's not about his wages tho, it's about how he was being dropped at the end of the season because of shite form. fresh start with Moyes, he will stay

Only way I see us selling is if someone offers to pay £35 million....which are far from the numbers being tossed around in the press

Not to mention it makes no sense for either party..... Rooney isn't going to want to play outwide and rightly so considering he struggles there in comparison to the usual CF/SS positions.

Fact is Barca with Messi need forwards who are comfortable in wide positions, Neymar works because he's played on the left his entire career.... Rooney doesn't for the reasons i mentioned.

Will he do a job there? sure but he will never reach optimal results or be comfortable.

Barca should A. find someone who can play on the right. B. Stick with what they have, quite frankly Neymar and Messi should be enough goalscoring and creative talent. C. Believe in Deulofeu's potential.

Everybody is speaking about how good an in form rooney is. But when  is he ever in form? Way too expensive of a player for such a degree  of  inconsistency

And to play where? Obviously not through the center. And lets face it. Rooney is considered to be polifunctional player because of how many positions he can play. Not because of how many positions he play well. If he is not playing SS or CF he will be even more of a waste of money.
