That tweet is 4 days old and all they denied is its coming out on the 8th which it isn't.

Anyway i'm going to use this thread for overall PES discussion until the new game comes out as cba making a seperate thread.

360 but getting 2014 for PS3.

The editing community is just far better on PS3 and quite frankly the controller is probably more suited to PES.

And yeah i went a bit nuts, especially considering Ibra scored a free kick from 40 yards 2 mins before Laughing

If you're willing to change then go for PC. Modding community on PC is huge and there are even gameplay patches that fix many of PES's countless nuisances.

I feel like the whole first touch idea is a bit gimmicky. I didn't like it in PES 2013 because while it adds extra weapons to play with, those moves are rarely seen in real football and are mostly performed by fantasy players like joga bonito Brazilians. When has Kroos done a flick like that in his life?

Do agree, but they are just showing off the features i doubt it means anything.

Kroos can't do anything that extravagant in PES 2013 so i doubt he will here its just a case of showing the game off.

Players should only be able to do skills that they actually do in real life.

Should be the same with FIFA.

I know it's easier to assign a star rating, but I'm sure they can at least do it for every top team player.

PES uses skill cards called the player index cards, they can only do a skill if they have the card for it. It is similar to the star system in Fifa.

Yep, would explain why i never see anyone doing outrageous skills who i wouldn't see do it in real life.

So yeah i can't see Kroos doing that in the final version and even if he can its very easy to remove the player index card.

With FIFA's star system, there's a bunch of skills for each star category.

So for example a player could do a skill from the 4* category in real life, however he would have all that skills from that category and he may not do all of them in real life.

I have both Fifa 12 and Fifa 13, and yes I agree with you. That is why I find the index card a better method than the star system; the only thing annoying about it is a card called the speed merchant, it is overpowered.

@Mole, Is the speed merchant card still overpowered in PES 2013? I didn't buy the 2013 version.

I played my first game online the other day.... i won 3-1 but Ronaldo was f*cking ridiculous i couldn't touch him.

I take it he has speed merchant?

Luckily i was able to keep him in certain areas and the rest of the team were easy to contain.

Anyway as we are talking about player cards here's a video that explains it for people who don't know.

Anyway i wouldn't take anything from those videos above they are designed just to show features not gameplay.

Wait for actual gameplay or the demo which should come in the next 10 days i imagine.
