Re: PES 2014
That's the one.
They haven't talked about it much at the moment ( same with a lot of things actually aside from gameplay and graphics)
But they said they will have a 11 v 11 online game mode this year and have wanted to do so since 2008 but the engine didn't allow.

Re: PES 2014
Will probably get both. Like the sound of teams having identities, improved atmosphere and the in depth tactics.
Does PES have player weaknesses? Like Marcelo not being that good defensively etc.

Yeah and it sounds like the new one will improve on specific player identities a lot.

That's about the jist of it as far as features go.....
As far as game modes go not a lot has been mentioned so far but Master League will allow you to change clubs and be an international manager this time. ( about bloody time )

Re: PES 2014
TY Mole.
Im hoping for big things, I really think 13' was a step in the right directional.
One minor thing I think they could do is changing the way skill moves are done. Never really got the grasp of them to the point where I feel like I can do a trick at the right time on command. The controls just didnt feel right to me.
At least it allowed Messi to be the best dribbler in the game for me..unlike Fifa.

" if you’re feeling lucky, you can lure in the defenders and bet on Balotelli’s innate speed and skill (tricks are now performed simply by combining movement on the two analogue sticks) to put you through on goal."
Ignore what I said, that link sort of says its solved lol

Re: PES 2014
I think i remember something about dribbling being mentioned but can't remember what exactly.
I probably missed quite a lot of things tbf, can't rememeber it all just gave you the standard stuff.
This video is quite impressive as far as features go....
About all we have got so far though...

Re: PES 2014
Good stuff so far.
I like what I hear about tactics. Someone like me, it bothers me so much when I cant get the team playing in the way I want, players moving how I want. The stuff about the pitch being divided into seperate squares where you can input controls sounds good...no idea how that will play out in the game and how well it can be implemented but we will see.
That emotional level stuff for home and away sounds risky though I gotta say.
It sounds like alot of things happening when I still feel like shooting and finishing needs to be improved quite alot, shooting technique in the right situations can be waaay off at times.

Dont worry, "heart" will not work online, it only works offline. Also, I think they will improve shooting since they have already changed the engine.

I really hope this game will be good, be ironic that if it's finally better than Fifa on the last copy of this generation of consoles :B.

I think it might be from a gameplay point of view.... but i would be shocked if they provide better online and game modes.
Gameplay is quite close at this point but online and game modes are miles behind they would have to make ridiculous improvements to compare tbh.

Re: PES 2014
That code is 2+ months old. Shader models have been refined since then (and I assume will continue to do so). Also Konami have improved the lighting system as far as I can tell from the new images (unless they are especially rendered - doubt it).
Re: PES 2014
Its older than that i think..... they said the E3 code was not even 60% finished version of the game.
The preview code is around 80% i think and most are praising the graphics.
Besides i thought they looked great personally, for a PS3 game.

Re: PES 2014
True, I sometimes forget this is a current gen game. Seeing PES closing in on FIFA in the last current gen instalment is great but it makes you think if Konami will be able compete with EA on next generation consoles. After all they flopped miserably last time it happened.
Demo can't come any sooner...

Re: PES 2014
A big reason they flopped last season is because they tried to do the exact opposite as this time.
I.E. make a current gen and next gen game at the same time.
They also got very complacent and thought they could get away with making limited changes ( kinda what Fifa are doing now)
Especially with the new engine, if anything the new systems should take the shackles off which current gen has.
As great as it looks IMO there is doubt the hardware will hold the engine back some what.....
I see this as being the Fifa 11 of the PES series, something that starts a return to form which coincides with a new engine but there will be glitches as they figure out the ins and outs of the engine with 2015 being the real masterpiece.
Anyway yes demo pls.

That's only true for the year 360/PS3 were released though, no? Yet PES has been lagging behind FIFA for almost a decade. Surely one year would not have made such a big impact, especially with FIFA pretty much not doing anything major in the past 2-3 years (perhaps the main reason PES have slowly caught up with them).
I'm not so sure how PES 2015 will turn out on Next Gen (NG). Looking at FIFA 14, it doesn't really look like a massive improvement over current gen even considering EA's claim to use the all-new Ignite engine. If you look at player models and animations they are still identical on what we have on 360/PS3 and I doubt much of FIFA's fundamental gameplay is changed either (yet to see a real-time FIFA 14 NG match but the few tidbits on YouTube seem to point in that direction).
Re: PES 2014
It is but that was the only part of the issue, getting complacent and acting like Fifa wasn't going to improve was the big issue.
And they didn't sort themselves out until very late into the generation.
