Di Marzio : ' Fiorentina wants only cash, that's the outcome of the meeting with Ramadani'
Counterparts? Nothing to do, for Jovetic Fiorentina just wants cash. As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, this would be the outcome of the meeting between the leaders of the Montenegrin purple and the agent. Here is what he wrote giornalistta Sky on its website: "Fiorentina line does not change. Stefan Jovetic can be sold, but the intention is not to accept technical counterparts. Today there was a meeting between the company, present and Pradé Cognini, and his agent Ramadani. But it was only an interlocutory meeting, where it was confirmed this line: cash only for Jovetic, while Brown or Quagliarella eventually would later negotiations. "

So they want straight cash but they want to also bargain for Marrone and/or Quags.
That's just a more long drawn out version of a part exchange.
We would give them 18M + Quags and 50% of Marrone for Jojo.
Instead they want 25M cash
Then they will take some of that cash to buy Quags and 50% of Marrone.
Fiorentina.....

They probably want the cash to see what their options are. Those options might include Quags or Marrone or there may be other players they want to spend the money on.
These player exchange deals rarely happen and they are even more rare when it involves a top player. We're going to need to pay.

Marotta, pay up.
I'm pretty sure our CL exploits covers the Jovetic transfer.
You have to spend money to make money.

Blame Elkann or Agnelli. Marotta just operates within the constraints set by the ownership.

If we fail to land at least one of these players we are being linked to, I think Conte will think long and hard about leaving Juve next season. Heck, he might even think about leaving if we don't land two of these players.
Elkann and Agnelli better open up their check books because finding another great manager like Conte is difficult. Just look at all of the managers we went through after Capello. Or, ask Inter and Milan what they would do to have a great manager again.

Anyone actually surprised? That's been the exact same case for years, we always try these cash + player deals, stupid papers talk about done deals already, but in reality noone wants our garbage (how surprising).
This proves again that we won't buy a top striker, we will settle with Diamanti and co. If Conte leaves after this season I'll totally understand his decision.
