It certainly won't be Kroenke or Usmanov. Chances of it being David Dein are very slim, too, unless the entire board is replaced.

It's possible that we'll promote from within, but our other directors are as old as Hill-Wood is, so it's doubtful. Lots of calls for Bob Wilson or any other Arsenal legend to step into the role.

It's not that important a position, really. What's more important is the possibility of a new director being appointed, which could be anyone.

He has served the club well. Of late he has made some annoying comments but I think he had the clubs best interest in this heart.

Peter Hill Wood will be missed as he kept Arsenal st highest standards and built principles around this club.

Confirmation in 'The Guardian' that he is expected to step down and that Arsenal are considering not replacing him and just going with Gazidis and Wenger remaining in control of the day-to-day running of the club.

I think Gazidis and Wenger running the club is a great idea.

At least shortens our options on who to blame when things go wrong..

Yeah, as much as Gazidis is criticised, he does his 'job' (making the club money) brilliantly.

I will be happy with the Gazidis-Wenger duo, however we need a proper negotiator like David Dein
