How will/should Atleti rebuild?
Diego apparently is eager for a return after an unreal season and there are rumours flying around of Falcao eagerness to stay after last weeks cup final win.
Assuming they keep their defense intact, Courtois, Arda and El Tigre all stay what signings would you make if you were Cerezo?
Diego Ribas and Leo Baptistao (FM legend and scored the winner against them earlier in the season) are both apparently imminent.

They've already announced that Falcao is gone after this season. I doubt they'd be signing another big name.

by paying interest lol, they have as much debt as we do without having a half-finished stadium to show for it

Re: How will/should Atleti rebuild?
Diego and Baptistao is a good start. If the rumors for Albiol are true he could be a good signing for them, if not him another centerback or two is needed. Also Alejandro Gomez will be a good addition if the transfer goes through and Pizzi rejoining Atleti will help bolster the wings, maybe one more winger like Ebert or maybe if theyre ambitious, Griezmann. They need to hold on to Courtois and Arda. Adrian could leave, Falcao will in all likelihood leave so some decent replacements could be Suarez, Jackson Martinez or Torres. Oliver needs to play more as well.
Atletico could be a force in next years CL if they make the right moves.

Why would Suarez leave Liverpool for Atletico?

Re: How will/should Atleti rebuild?
CL?? ambition??
I have yet to see Liverpool replace Alonso. Atleti sell a player and straight away buy an as good or better replacement for it
As for how they will rebuild.. Courtois wants to stay for another season, Atleti are after an old experienced midfielder to ease the transition of Torres who imo is ready to start already. Adrian will be leaving and it is up to Falcao wether he wants to leave because the club wont stand in the way of a potential move away. They need a RB because Juanfran is crap
they need better back up players as well only Insua is decent the rest are not even worthy of being back ups at Getafe

Yeah I think he will stay. At least for next season. Beyond that I have no idea.

Re: How will/should Atleti rebuild?
since Atleti only get 20 mil out of the 60 if falcao gets sold (i thought they'd get closer to 45), then i don't think Suarez is in play for them. Forgot that Mendes was owed so much money by atleti.

Those would be good signings as well, as long as they don't have to break the bank for them.FalcaoPunch wrote:Sign Pabon from Betis if Falcao leaves or sign Carlos Bacca from club brugge

Liverpool can afford Iniesta, Ribery, etc. Does that mean if we want them we can sign them without further ado? No! They would never in a million years move to Pool in prime of their careers. Why would Suarez ever move from Pool to Atleti even if they had the money?

Pabon is not owned by Betis. He is on loan from Monterrey.

Re: How will/should Atleti rebuild?
Liverpool is not in CL dude and hasn't been in a while.... not all that close either. That's what Suarez wants and he'll likely move for it. Pool fans need to get that into their skulls... and i know you guys have hard skulls lol. Atleti cannot afford it unless Mendes loans them part of the money again (he might). Key is, they're in CL, won the Europa 2 years ago and beat Madrid in a cup final this year for CDR. Pool can only dream of such results right now.
So all you ignorant Liverpool fans (not all of you).... realize that Atleti is a much better club than you at this point. Better manager, better players and better results.
Liverpool is a middle table club in EPL at this point. Until that changes, top players won't want to stay unless they have an emotional attachment. Only thing Suarez is emotionally attached to is his career.

Re: How will/should Atleti rebuild?
agree with everything, but you need to realize that Atletico is not a much bigger club than Liverpool inspite of playing in Champions League.. in fact, most of our key players that have left since 2009 have only left for top clubs (Xabi to Real, Mascherano to Barca, Torres and Meireles to Chelsea)
so unless Barca, Bayern or Real (maybe even PSG or Man City) come calling or Suarez feels unwanted/is forced out, he's not going

For a guy that acts like he knows everything you misunderstand a lot. We are not delusional to think we are currently better than Atletico. Every Liverpool fan would admit that we are not the powerhouse that we used to be. Visit the Pool section from time to time here and you'll see how much we joke about our own mediocrity.
What you have to get through your thick skull is that Liverpool are still a much bigger and prestigious club than Atleti. There's a big difference between bigger and better. Shakhter Donetsk, Malaga, Zenit, etc are all probably better than us too, so does that mean Suarez would jump ship to any of those teams if they had CL and cash? gtfo out of here son. If Suarez moves, he'll move to bigger club than Liverpool.
And how would you possibly know that the only thing Suarez is emotionally attached to is his career? Are you best buddies with him or something? From what he's said and showed so far on and off the pitch, Suarez seems most emotionally attached to the club than any of our other players bar Gerrard and Carra.

Uhhh....Yes? Where have you been for the last 5 years dude?
Why do you think all these players have been going/are linked with City, PSG, Monaco, etc etc? CL and cash.
Unless you're going to argue that PSG is a bigger club than Milan? City a bigger club than Arsenal? Monaco a bigger club than Atletico/Porto?
