Bendtner? He barely played a few minutes for us and was injured in half of the season.. Not saying he is any good, but in my opinion you can't prove anything if you don't play. Same goes for Anelka. You can't judge them on that, I'd only call them useless transfers.

Best transfer was definitely Balotelli though, without him Milan couldn't have scored so many penalties wouldn't be anywhere near 3rd spot.

Maybe I'm biased but Vidal was the best player of the season for me, always showed up when he was needed, gave his all in the whole season.
Cavani's and the whole Napoli midfield's dip in form cost them the title, so definitely no for them.

Not really considering the CL/EL fight with a Derby Della Nazionale in the Coppa. Much more competition compared to the years of Inter's dominance in 07-10. The scudetto fight was lame but everything else was tight and close. Plus Juve were smacked up by thriller goals from Totti and Icardi.

Like anyone cares about making EL rofl Its seen more as a bother than an achievement. Most over used statement in this forum of all time: " Serie A will be much better/stronger next season", when it fact it's getting poorer each season, Serie A's all star team is playing for PSG, Racist chanting most talked about issue and a handful of talent remaining.

One would take a hint considering the fact that Elite Italian coaches prefer to coach abroad.

well, considering that Roma and Udinese started to build their stadium, Inter is almost starting and Miland is looking for ways to buy San Siro, you could say its on the rise.

Also, this summer there is gonna be lots of new players going to Serie A. Juve, Inter, Milan, Roma, Napoli, Fiorentina and Lazio will seriously reinforce.

Considering that Mazzarri is gonna join Inter, which they will NOT play in Europe gives them an edge.

So yes, this new season will be filled with excitement!

Casciavit, so ud take any of the 10 players above Pogba?
The only one i would from ur list is Hernanes....

I would personally consider Montolivo to be the best transfer of the season, without him we would be struggling to make Europe let alone the Champions League, with David Pizarro, Mario Balotelli, Borja Valero and Rodrigo Palacio rounding out my top five.

Vidal is worthy of contention for the award of best player, it's not a particularly controversial decision in my eyes, though a player such as Cavani would also have been a worthy winner. The selections of Ranocchia and Rocchi are unfair; the criticism of the Rocchi transfer regards Inter's transfer policy, not his eventual performances. At least Rocchi has actually scored some very useful goals and contributed to Inter's season, that's more than can be said for Bakary Traore.

Regardless of how important the EL is there was still a very close finish for a European spot with Lazio and Roma fighting for pride and an EL place. Your only complaining because of the supposed "lack of quality" Milan showed early in the season. Juve is stronger than ever so I have no reason to complain.

Serie A reached rock bottom in 2011 with Inter being old and Milan was at the end of a cycle. Serie A can't go any further down. Milan is certainly on the rise, Juve is seemingly limitless in ambition, Napoli could experience a successful campaign in Europe, a resurgent Fiorentina look to play wonderful attacking football, and Roma are on the rise with a growing market and global brand bring made. Serie A is on the rise and you can't deny it.

Not to mention the leagues average age has dropped significantly as Serie A is throwing off the "retirement league" myth and establish a focus on quality youth products.

Trying to be objective, Silvestre and Acerbi were two of the most disappointing stories of the season. Where as a player such as Isla was prevented from shining by injury, these two failed to have any impact for their clubs and given their eventual destiny, even though they were both relatively cheap alternatives, the lack of an expensive failure - unless some name is slipping my mind - means that they probably stand out amongst the big clubs. Anelka was a transfer that I simply never understood, however given that Acerbi and Silvestre had chances to stake first team places - whilst someone such as Rocchi or Bakary was only ever bought as a back-up - I would be inclined to suggest their names, even though it pains me to name Acerbi, who I still believe is a decent player.

Pereira was a pretty bad signing. 10m euro and he seems totally blah. has one of the worst/most inconsistent crosses ever and doesn't offer much. i'd rank him as our worst

I forgot about Pereira, good suggestion.

Of course the biggest transfer mistake of all was missing out on John Carew, just for the shirt sales alone.

He's still an improvement to Nagatamo. I'm sure he would do much better if we actually had some tactics to play by

I say Bendtner becuase Juve brought him in when they were actively looking for a striker. He was doomed for this award right when they signed him.

Yes maybe in a perfect world everything goes as planned but not in reality. Having youth means absolutely sod all if you can't keep them. Financially Serie A isn't coming back any time soon, italian sides need to sell their best players to keep afloat, it doesn't generate enough profit to keep the books balanced.

When was the last time a Serie A side reached the top 4 in any European competition..

Bit harsh but yes it's a stupid decision. The fact the people who are in charge of transfer dealings for big clubs earn a nice wage to make idiotic decisions like that gives me less hope for the world.

No one on this plant believes that bendtner was the striker that juventus was looking for. Not does anyone believe that this was the intent of that transfer. If anything, Giovinco was that player. Bendtner was brought on loan and for depth. He made zero impact but came at near zero risk. Can hardly call him a bad transfer, rather an empty and useless one.
