My friend that was a clear penalty. The difference between both teams at youth and senior level has been shown. Like Xavi in EURO 212, Thiago has come to his own in the final. The 4th goal involved a fullback like in EURO 2012. Incredible.

What rubbish. Tello has lost the ball countless times and made awyward passes. Morata has been Spains worst player.

Verratti, like Pirlo last year has been made obsolete by Spain.

Thiago has been putting some great passes, can't say tello is better, though his speed keeps exposing Italy. Also glad to see thiago give the penalty to isco, first time truely seeing isco play.

AsI pointed out in the earlier post, the parallels are frightening. Illaramendi like Alonso was amazing in a few games, Isco has been the player of the tournament like Iniesta, Thiago turns up in the final like Xavi did. The 4th goal involved a fullback bursting forward, and Verratti has been outplayed by all of Spains midfieleders like Pirlo was. That my friend, is what we call standardisation. All we need now is for De Gea to beg the referee to end the game out of respect for Italy like Saint Iker did.

It's not surprising at all. If Thiago can become 80% of the player Xavi is then Spain are sorted for the next few tournaments.

We would have put up more of a fight with our full team. Spain don't play anti football like Italy, so we would have been better against them, but Spain are still a level above us. Thank you for the mention. You are not bad for a Manchester United supporter.

Re: UEFA U21 European Championships (Israel, June 5th - June 18th)
BTW those who say the U21s are different to the first team and the style of play is different are talking out their arse
Koke and Illaramendi are Busquets-Alonso, Thiago is Xavi, Isco is Iniesta, Tello is Pedro and Morata is Torres.
Its exactly the same, not only in style of play but roles and similarity.
The pivot isn't going anywhere any time soon.
