Juve to make Lamela move?

Juventus could make a sensational move for Roma forward Erik Lamela, according to reports in the Italian Press.

Tuttosport have revealed this afternoon that the Bianconeri are interested in signing the Argentine youngster and may make a bid at the end of the season.

Antonio Conte's side have been linked with a host of attackers in recent months, with Gonzalo Higuain, Karim Benzema and Alessandro Diamanti all rumoured to be moving to the Old Lady.

But the Turin-based newspaper has claimed today that the League winners are hoping to add the 21-year-old to their squad during the off-season.

A bid of around €30m could force Roma's hand, but it is understood that the capital club are reticent to sell to one of their rivals.

Lamela has been impressive this term, scoring 15 goals in 32 games.

I just don't see this one happening unless Roma really wants Gio, Matri, or Quags because I don't see Juve offering 30 million cash. Maybe, they will be willing to sell without any European football next season, but I doubt it will be to Juve.

Juventus could be set to make a move for Roma starlet Erik Lamela, reports in Italy suggest.

The 21-year-old has been in impressive form this season, scoring 15 goals in 32 matches, and a host of clubs including Manchester City and PSG are looking at the player.

According to Tuttosport, Antonio Conte wants to add the forward to the Juventus squad as he looks to strengthen the front line ahead of another assault on the Champions League.

Lamela becomes the latest striker to be linked with a transfer to Juventus, after Gonzalo Higuain, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alessandro Diamanti, but at least one factor which could scupper any deal is the potential transfer fee.

Roma are thought to want at least €30 million for the youngster, while also not wanting to strengthen their rivals.

He is very talented and considering his age this could be a great transfer,perfect for SS.But it's very difficult to sign him.

Doesn't fit. Lamela excels at dribbling past the opposition on the wing. When played centrally he is much less effective (hence why he is struggling when played on AA's 4-3-2-1 whereas he excelled with Zdenek's 4-3-3). Juve's system would have him played as either a RWB, where he would flop because his defensive contribution is small, or as an SS, where he would be more successful but it would take time to adapt and is by no means a sure thing. I doubt Conte would be willing to splash the large amount of cash needed for his transfer for someone who's natural position is not used in his squad.

We need a SS. He would actually be used quite well with our tactics.
