will go down as a worse transfer than pirlo.
branca and stramma or whoever it was who authorized that transfer should be fired just for that alone.

It's not like he's a 20 year old young budding world class talent who could become a club legend if nurtured correctly. Oh wait, he is

I'd like to believe that if we didn't lose Cou, we wouldn't get Kovacic
although its not true
I can imagine the link up play between them right in front of my eyes

Re: coutinho
lets not get all gloomy now, Coutinho, although a WC talent, was not gonna cut it in Serie A, he's just too small. Sure the EPL is the most physical league and all that, but players dont get bullied off the ball in there. We had him for around 2 years, he played 50 games in total with us and he was no where near the player he suddenly became at Liverpool. Sure he was brilliant at times but every time he got going he'd get injured...i donno, he wasnt gonna make it with us thats all
As for Kovacic, we bought him with the Cou money so we basically traded one talented player for another. And as opposed to Countinho he plays a role that we absolutely lack, can cut it in Serie A, and he's actually performing. We got a good deal guys so lets not complain

Re: coutinho
^ maybe the reason is because forward movement is almost non-existent in Inter in games i've watched.
if you watch us play, everyone is constantly moving, freeing up space for Coutinho to operate in, and more options to play the killer ball.
Coutinho is a pass it to his feet player, as opposed to pass it in space ...so the idea of him getting more space in PL is invalid. the reason it appears he is getting more space, is because his team mates have great off-the-ball movement, which provide him with more options.
p.s. I've never seen him bullied physically so far. hell, he bullied the hell outta Debuchy a couple of weeks ago.

Re: coutinho
Honestly kovacic>coutinho but in saying that i don't no why u couldn't fit both players in the same team. If inter didn't have a secret reason why coutinho left( maybe he was bad in the dressing room etc who knows) and they just sold him purely because of technical reasons then their is no other way to describe their actions as absolute INSANITY

@Marottalad
Their is no way Coutinho could have possibly been a bad seed in the dressing room. He's a good guy and has never caused a problem for Inter. No way.
It was stupid, but they replaced him with Kovacic, who IMO would and will do much better in Serie A than Coutinho.

Re: coutinho
If the choice was between Kovacic and Coutinho, then the move is a least a little bit defensible. In my opinion a quality CM is much harder to find than a quality AM, quality AMs seem to be much more prevelant
But how can it be claimed that we had to choose one or the other when at the same time we sold Coutinho we also reportedly locked up Botta, Icardi, Campagnaro, Andreolli etc etc? Not sure I buy that argument atm
Don't agree with Zizzles point either - He didn't get enough games with us, and some of that is because of injuries, true, but the far bigger problems was shit managers who didn't know wtf they were doing
Rafa clearly saw the potential when he was only 18 (Dat one touch play with Sneijder and Etoo ffs :fap:)...The morons that followed didn't see it when he was 20, he could barely get consecutive games in the starting XI
He hasn't become a completely different player at Liverpool...he's just actually gotten to play, for once

Re: coutinho
yeah I agree with Swanhends, that's exactly what I picture when I picture Coutinho... is him under rafa...
He was good enough to be a starter at the age of 18 for inter, that's how good he was. he did big things for the youth national brazilian team, and what we do is bench him, loan him (where he does well), and then sell him... doesn't make any sense. Way better than Ricky Alvarez, for example.

I agree about him being better than Alvarez, but Ricky has also improved significantly since he has actually gotten to play...which is sort of my point
Alvarez looks good in his first appearances for the club, then he gets resigned to the bench and starts looking worse and worse in his 15 minutes sub cameos until he is rumored to be leaving in the summer... Then an injury crisis forces him to play consistently and SHOCKER: He improves drastically
You could give our management the keys to a Ferrari and they would struggle to unlock the door. After failing to unlock the door on their first three attempts, management would then lock the keys to the car in a safe and decide to lease a Fiat instead. The Fiat proceeds to break down repeatedly over the course of the year, and instead of attempting to unlock the Ferrari again, management decides to trade the keys to the Ferrari for a different model of Fiat.

Re: coutinho
Buying Kuzmanovic
Buying Schelotto
New project they say
Sell Coutinho
Alvarez ??
Imagine a line up of Kovacic and Coutinho together in 1 team..
Inter
Inter saw something we probably don't ??
Inter have a history of releasing good talented players.. Coutinho has in my opinion not the potential of Kovacic.. But Coutinho has the potential to be a good player.
Inter and potential don't match together.. Let us buy more below average players like Schelotto.

Re: coutinho
Nah , we are different now , we have a different project under Thohir.
Thohir believes in young players , infact we play with half starters born in 90s. ( our signings in January transfer window : Shaqiri 91 Santon 91 Brozovic 92 , all 3 are starters now )
It was simply impossible when Coutinho was Inter player because Coutinho came to Inter in worst possible moment for a young player.
We got a treble season just the previous year and so we renewed to our old players as a sign of respect and gratitude and there was not space for young , but only for our old legends.
It was a transition period who became nasty because those old great players became old finished players.
We needed to restart sooner or later , we did it under Thohir with a different project.
Mauro Icardi ( Serie A top scorer atm) wouldn't have played in that Inter in place of Milito indeed declined.
Coutinho was unlucky to bump into that period, but good for you , I am glad he is showing his talent now.
