Re: Steve Bruce Wigan vs Roberto Martinez Wigan
Martinez by a slim margin, a healthy Ramis might have put them over the top.
Barely related, but that awkward moment when you learn Premier League-bound Hull City's player of the year was Ahmed Elmohamady, a loanee winger who couldn't break into Sunderland's rotation...Good luck, Steve...

Re: Steve Bruce Wigan vs Roberto Martinez Wigan
Yeah i didn't put Ramis because he's hardly played, same reason i put Al-Habsi over Robles.
I suppose you could say Di Santo should be there over McManaman based on that but McManaman is clearly first choice as of now.

Martinez's Wigan for me. Bruce's Wigan was maybe a tougher side to beat and it's not surprising with a midfield like that, but I think Martinez's Wigan has a lot more quality in midfield and up front.

Martinez Wigan for me.
Uses a better system, very flexible, and much more quality than Bruce had.

Table and stats don't lie much. Bruce's Wigan were a midtable team, no matter how they played, they were very difficult to beat. Martinez's team are a relegation fodder at best.

Martinez's Wigan for me. Although the X factor is Zaki, if Balon D'Or Candidate Amir Zaki shows up then Bruce's Wigan pick up the win.
Martinez's Wigan maybe "relegation" fodder but that's because their squad is thin and their style ultimately means that the game is open and open games don't translate well over a league season.
In a one off game Martinez's team on their day can give anyone a tough time. This is a team that can dominate possession at the Etihad lol
