Juve & Madrid in Higuain meeting

I really doubt Llorente and Higuain working as a partnership, just a feeling of mine. Stylistically I don't think it would work. One or the other.

And nah, Higuain is a very talented striker but no comparison to Ibrahimovic. Balotelli back to Italy- I would place the transfer more on this level.

balotelli was bought for not only onfield but off field reasons higuain is coming for purely on field reasons, in terms of football higuain> balotelli in terms of media hype and popularity their is really no comparison.

Higuain will most certainly bench Llorente. He's just better. If it's going to be a competition for the CF spot.... Llorente is going to regret to have signed lol.

Llorente has some skills on the ball, both could well balanced each other, Llorente isnt a particularly aggressive CF that attacks the box

Llorente's has only reached 5 assists in all competitions for a season once in his career. It's just not his thing to be a setup type of guy. He's used to being the guy who takes the shots...

See, the problem is that Juventus is making Llorente their highest earner. I can't see them loading up the same spot with two players who will certainly be making the most on the team. It's one or the other, if Llorente is coming then the move for Higuain doesn't seem plausible.

Balotelli is the future of Italy's attack for some time. I find the comparison arguable, Higuain is not coming off one of his finest seasons and Balotelli has been absolutely incredible with Milan and he is also younger. I guess you just rate Higuain a lot higher than I do, I think he's a great player but he's certainly not Ibra and right now, even if you place him above Balotelli (which is completely fine), it isn't by a whole lot.

What about if we use Llorente and Higuain in the same way we used Toni - Matri, Quagliarella - Matri partnerships ?

Are those really partnerships we want to replicate? I don't care how many goals those partnerships have scored, it just doesn't represent winning football for me. Plus, we usually used those partnerships out of desperation because we had no one else to use.

Will two CFs like Llorente and Higuain really track back the way Conte requires of his strikers? I doubt it. We need a SS.

Higuain plays good defense for a CF. That's the main reason he was preferred over Benzema against Dortmund... his workrate on defense.
