Im not sure, but I don't see Wenger going after Higuain. I think he'll go to Spurs whether they ship bale there or not.

We need both. Refer to my posts on building commercial muscle.

Attack and defense need to coexist and interlink seamlessly. And right now, we are short in both aspects - both in terms of quality and quantity.

Higuain vs Jovetic for £25m is a tough choice!

Higuain is probably about as good as he's going to get - which as a goalscorer is better than Jovetic. Even though he's had a subpar season this year, he's an elite player who's proven himself for several seasons at the highest level. Higuain might adapt poorly to the Premier League, but there's no doubting his pedigree. £25m seems a decent price for him in this market. Perfect example of a player I personally have no strong feelings toward, pro or con, in terms of whether I "like" him, but who's clearly objectively quite good. I'd welcome him and consider it a coup if Arsenal signed him.

Jovetic is more positionally versatile, and being a little younger than Higuain could yet improve and surpass him. But maybe not. All transfers are gambles to some degree, but it's especially a gamble if you're trying to predict how a player "will" or "should" develop, especially if coming from another league. £25m at first seems a bit high, especially going by a few months of reports indicating that he'd probably go for slightly less. But then again Jovetic carries with him the potential to be a truly great, complete attacking player ... a key player to build the team around. Also I've made no secret of the fact he's a player I personally kind of root for, I've been keeping an eye on him at Fiorentina for a while now.

Could you imagine if Arsenal signed both of these guys? (No way it would happen, but I'm just saying: imagine.) Fergie would stop chewing that gum for a moment, his jaw would drop, and he'd start to get a little anxious.

Higuain is a great player but he is more of a poacher. Jovetic does a lot more than him, and I think he would fit a lot better with this team. I'd really like to have either player, but given a choice between the two I'd take Jovetic every day of the week and twice on sunday.
