I haven't seen him play at Brighton, but looking at the numbers he's putting up you feel he would deserve a chance... But I don't know do we have any space for him. The wing-back and AM slots are pretty crowded already.

Suso was doing similarly well for Almeria (better team than Brighton in a better league). He came back and was arguably one of our best players in preseason. Made one appearance in the season and scored an important goal. But we still let him go, so yeah Tex will need to show something very special to get a regular spot for us in the squad.

oh yeah and Teixeira has 6 goals in the Championship in 25 apps. Ibe only had 5 in 25 apps hmm

Ibe is pretty much the only loan deal that's worked out for us. lmao

Teixeira won't get ahead of Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling, and the next big potential signing in the summer. No chance. Not when Suso was twice the player.

I've got nothing against Markovic, but I'm looking at the fact we payed £20m for him before giving the likes of Ibe, Teixeira and Suso a chance... It just feels poorly planned.

I have a feeling they thought that since Markovic played couple of seasons already, he will be a grade better than Ibe, Suso, Teixeira. But that's poor judgement too.

Yeah. It's no good loading the youth set up with talent if you don't give them a proper chance before splashing 20m on a youngster who's played a lot in an inferior league.

I can judge right now whether spending on Markovic 20m was a good idea or not. We will have a better idea in the next season imo.

But initially Suso was a very naive handling from all the angles, we did not even manage to get decent fees for him. Texeira, I am not saying he is something big, scoring even 10 goals in 2nd league means f all really. I think in the regular training the manager gets more idea of how a player might perform against a EPL quality players. Also, if he has more years left on his contract, in the next season he can be loaned to a recently promoted EPL club at least.

Not sure if this has been posted yet or not, but that Teixeira fellow sure does look the goods these days. Really enjoying his loan spell. Haven't watched the games themselves, but if these highlights and reports are any indication he's been quite good.

From the loaned out players I would personally keep Ilori, Tex, and Origi. Very happy that all 3 are doing fairly decently at their loan spells and would add something to our squad next season.

Sell Aspas, Coates, Rafa Paez.
Sell or loan Luis Alberto.
Loan Ojo and Sinclair again as they are both too young still.

Don't care about Wisdom.
