Brilliant, if he goes on to become a squad player, his directness to go and have a shot can be a great help for us. I am not sure if BR will be ever serious about him
He's proving a lot of us wrong since that performance against Cardiff.
he can go on the inside and outside and has an eye for goal, he's got a touch of class about him whenever he is in a shooting position.
the rate at which he is learning and improving is the most promising aspect though, and he was tracking back well all day long today.
I hope we get him on a permanent deal asap, well worth 3-4 million, still young and will give us a fair few very good seasons at this level.
"Season long loan with no option to buy"
And according to my mate who plays for the Liverpool academy Assaidi spends all his spare time there and watching the second team play.
It'd be nice if we could change his mind though

Yeah...Borini and Assaidi are doing better than Aspas and Moses

Re: The official loan thread.
It's ironic that Aspas is having a season almost identical to Borini's first with us and people are somehow using Borini as a metaphorical stick to beat Aspas with.

Re: The official loan thread.
We are benefiting greatly from these loans ffs.
Borini - 3 goals for Sunderland against Chelsea, Newcastle, and United and is getting fair amount of game time. Playing ST and out wide so far for them. Sunderland fans love him.
Assaidi - 4 goals from the wing. Stoke fans are very happy with him and want to keep him.
Wisdom - Likewise Derby fans love him and he's been their starting RB.
Suso - 2 goals and 5 assists. Has been a starter and one of their best players for first half of the season.
Reina - starting keeper at Napoli. He's been hot and cold but at least he's getting game time.
Robinson - starting LB at Blackpool, likewise the fans love him there.

Re: The official loan thread.
Key thing is they are playing regularly which not only helps them develop but also helps to judge their true pedigree. With nearly half the season remaining, most of the players have played as much games in their Liverpool career.
Borini: 20 (Liverpool)/19 (Sunderland)
Assaidi: 12 (Liverpool)/16 (Stoke)
Wisdom: 22 (Liverpool)/13 (Derby)
Suso: 14 (Liverpool)/16 (Almería)
Robinson: 11 (Liverpool)/32 (Wolves & Blackpool)

Re: The official loan thread.
Borini played well against Soton and scored.
Had a goal disallowed too, it looked onside (haven't seen a replay) but it was very close.
Can't wait for Borini to come back. His passion for the game, and to get the fans into it is a good trait to have.

Re: The official loan thread.
Moses out now, and bring borini in now ffs. Moses is a waste, at least borini can add an extra element to our squad, but then again his doing so well and getting 1st team action, so it would be hard to bring him back.

Re: The official loan thread.
He'll be a bench player if he comes now, it'll be much more beneficial for all parties if he stays at Sunderland until the end of the season.

Re: The official loan thread.
Borini, Suso, and Assaidi will all add some very good depth to our squad next season going by how their loan spells have gone. I hope we keep all three. Moses obviously has no place in our squad. And I wouldn't care if we got rid of Aspas.

Re: The official loan thread.
The loans are working exactly as intended. They're giving players who would have been bit-part players or rotation player for us consistent game time with which to build up experience and confidence that they can use to develop and bring back to the club.

Re: The official loan thread.
The biggest plus is that both Borini & Assaidi are playing in EPL, so there will not be any issue of adjusting or adapting once they return. Same can't be said about Suso though, unfortunately.

Re: The official loan thread.
yeah but Suso also needed to develop technically, I am glad that he has gone there. But the recent worry is he is not getting enough time currently, lost his place to some pacy winger

Re: The official loan thread.
Assaidi - I would've been happy to give him more chances to begin with. Would welcome him back after what he has showcased at Stoke, but if we do sign Salah, I don't know if Assaidi has any part to play for us.
Borini - A few good goals, and ever so important ones, for Sunderland. However, he doesn't contribute much apart from an out-and-out striker role and I'm not sure whether he's got the ability to be a Liverpool player. At this point some of you will be going "Hey he won't replace Suarez or Sturridge, but off the bench..." and I don't know if he's good enough for that. At the moment he's more like N'gog Mk II for me than a fine 3rd choice striker, but we'll see how he does for the rest of the season.
Suso - Haven't seen him play at all this season, but don't see who he would replace in our squad - and if he's been benched at Almeria it's certainly not good news.

Isn't it a good thing that Suso is having a break!!! He is quiet young and he played almost every game in the first half-season.

A 20-yo needing a break from once-a-week football, don't think so.

When we have everyone fit, we have more use for a natural left-winger than for a striker.
