Actually it does. The money Malaga would receive this year for making it past the pool rounds were enough to cover not only the current payables, but also the long term debt... it would wipe the books completely clean. It doesn't excuse allowing wage bills to go unpaid. But i also feel that UEFA's actions were ridiculous given this fact.

UEFA gave a clear deadline to which Malaga did not follow upon the enactments of their wage bill. It is thoroughly stressed upon the clubs past certain dates and deadlines as breaking this conduct does not allow delays or instalments based on incidental results made by Malaga. Given Chelsea, City etc exploited years of FFP loopholes, it doesn't hurt to see that this format is finally taking effect on teams as of now. It was even worse that Malaga weren't shrewd enough to exploit those loopholes because its apparent these Arab sheikhs and the appointed management have done a catastrophic job so far of it.
