Question to Native Italians
I know this isnt the right section but please dont move it, its an emergency. Im getting a tattoo tomorrow and it reads "Aiuta che Dio ti aiuta". That is Benevento dialect. Problem is, i learned to zpeak but not write. Is it "ti aiuta" or "t'aiuta"? Thank you.

Re: Question to Native Italians
"Aiuta che Dio t'auita" is the correct term based on the standard Tuscan dialect (can't call it dialect but..) it is the most common Italiano form that as although Ti Auita would be a formal term. Nonetheless its better to go with the more colloquial and widely used version of the language as "Aiuta che Dio t'auita" for example, is what would be said in my native Brescia or in anywhere in Lombardia.

Re: Question to Native Italians
Asked an Italian colleague and she says the phrase is:
"Aiutati che Dio t'aiuta"
she says that "aiuta che dio ti aiuta" does not make sense. But what do I know.

Re: Question to Native Italians
are you sure that dio is not capitalized? That seems very unlikely to me.

That is completely incorrect in meaning and grammar, according to my Italian colleague. "aiutati e Dio ti aiuta" or "aiutati e Dio t'aiuta" are the correct way to say/write it and that it is even in wiki.
