Dunno why, Bundesliga being a shit league, after all...
The PL is in decline apart from Chelsea and maybe ManC.

Did you deliberately leave out Arsenal, after Bundesliga Schalke 04 dominated them...?
United are lucky as usual, playing against weakest team, in weakest group.

Arsenal were not mentioned in post i quoted....not that Arsenal are ever contenders for anything anyways.
United have defensive crisis with injuries, we are banging in the goals, just can't stop them. Carrick at CB was exposed vs Braga, especially on the 2nd goal. wait till Vidic is fully healthy and in form again. City, Chelsea playing at full strength and got owned, they have no excuse. United have done what they need to get max points.

Good post, United are always there. I won't be surprise if they win epl and CPL this year, they are too sly, they always sneak in from behind and grab everything when people write them off.
Everyone is talking about Bayern, Barcelona winning this year cpl, People better watch out for United.
Re: Ze Germans excel, the Italians and English bomb and the Spanish hold their own
it's a tad bit early to make conclusions though. Eventhough BVB and Schalke had a great start, all three German clubs could still get eliminated.
At the moment it looks like La Liga is clearly ahead of the rest with EPL and BuLi behind fighting for the second place.
Completely agreed on the Manu part, too. They are always dangerous.

Napoli, Udinese, and Lazio with another reserve squad
Quite obvious Serie A doesn't deserve it with their attitude towards the EL

Would Italy go into meltdown if League 1 overtook them? It's extremely likely given the recent runs of french teams and Ibra goating PSG?

Re: Ze Germans excel, the Italians and English bomb and the Spanish hold their own
First, noone should write down Serie A. The league is going through a revamp. It started with Juve, then Inter (they are slowly regaining their reputation but it will still take 1-2 years still imo), and then Milan, which is hitting the ground this year. We will see in time.
On another note, whoever thinks Italian teams are THAT bad, just check the starting squads of today - for example Napoli. It's damn obvious (and they don't want to hide it either) that Italian teams don't care about the EL - the same old story.
There are 7-8 Italian teams which are not satisfied with only EL positions, and that's kinda different in Bundesliga and La Liga. There are teams that are entirely satisfied with their role in their respective league, and they go all right with EL (good example is Atletico Madrid imo). The difference is Italian teams sacrifice everything for a CL place, or the Scudetto (and they actually have a chance of winning it with this attitude).
The problem is that Serie A lost the 4th place, now the competition is even more fierce, so whoever tried to get something out of EL now surely don't want to. It's just not worth it, really simple.

Re: Ze Germans excel, the Italians and English bomb and the Spanish hold their own
@Dronte
The BL teams are not satisfied with an EL position, they want to get a CL spot, too. But the BL teams work together when the good of the BL is at stake, that is, they always try to get as many coefficient points as possible to get as many CL spots as possible. That is why usually the fans of BL teams cheer even for their domestic rivals when they play in Europe, too - it is all for the greater good of the BL.
It seems the Serie A teams don't realise that with their stance they risk dropping down even farther in the ranking. If both Portugal and France overtake Italy (which is very well possible), that would mean even one further less CL spot for Serie A and thus they are shooting themselves even worse into their knees.
