I don't think so, bro. When Italy had the ban on foreigners in the '90's and '00's, we had statistically some of the best squads of all time; see 2002. Vieri, Del Piero, Totti, Nesta, Maldini, Buffon, Coco, Inzaghi, etc.
If FIGC wants La Nazionale to benefit, they need to implement something like 6 5 or at least something similar to it. This rule only disallows non European players, there are no restrictions about French, German, Spanish, Portugese, Russian or any other European players or even South American, Asians or African players as long as they have an EU passport.. Even with this rule, Inter managed to walk in the Champions League Final with zero Italians on the starting line up. This rule has stopped many quality players on joining Serie A and making the league stronger, for example Edin Dzeko wanted to join Juventus over Man City he said so numerous times. But due to Juve buying Krasic, they couldn't get Dzeko.
From the Vidal thread.

I completely agree no questions asked. There's a reason why the FIGC wanted to limit EU Spots to give more Italian talent chances. Because many are there, but as usual foreigners just get in the way. Take for example Diego, who was a flop with Juventus, replacing Giovinco. Not once did he ever get the chance to even prove himself, but when he did, we infact got our biggest wins. The point is, the talent is there, and relying on foreigners just reduced more Italian talent for the national team. Historically speaking, Serie A never had to depend on MANY foreigners to win games and competitions... Serie A is an Italian league, will always be an Italian League and for the sake of the national team, they need to rely on more Italians because the quality is there.

Italians clubs have been allowed by FIGC to sign two non-Europeans
Is that true? I've just read about it.. so, now they have a new available spot for a foreigner. It makes it easier for them if they really want Ganso.

Not just AC Milan, its been the made the rule for whole of Italy.
So yes it will be easier for them to sign Ganso now, but i have said it before and i will say it again no way in hell does Santos sell Ganso and Neymar in one summer they will sell one if they sell any at all.
I personally believe Ganso is closer to a sale than Neymar is.

I am not so sure... there are clubs actually willing to pay for Neymar's full price, and I haven't anything like that related to Ganso's case...

There's no proof to back my statement up its just a feeling i have that Ganso will leave and Neymar will stay.
