Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
Ramos will miss the next match. Good he'll be clear for the semis then.

Ramos makes stupid fouls in 16 yard box for fun. one day it will cost us. so stupid. so stupid.
Great result but not a very pleasant performance.

How did Ramos not get called for that pen. It seemed stonewall. Also did he win a FK for kicking someone chest high. (i may be wrong on that one.)

Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
Ramos got the ball clean in that challenge against Yilmaz but he definitely stepped on his foot on the follow through. Yilmaz did not dive imo so that yellow was very harsh, but I don't think that was a pen.
As for the foul Ramos jumped in the air to try and win the ball, Drogb went in with his back and caused him to fall. It looked weird but Ramos was the one who got hurt by Drogba on that play. Sergio was really reckless though, that could just as easily have gone the other way if he didn't time it right. Ramos had an erratic game in general, once again Varane carried him in the centre of defence.

Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
great game by everyone. Alonso is my motm such a decisive player
I have to say I was surprised by how gala approached the game kudos to them tho didn't create a wall like a certain other team
edit: zeal I was deceived
that Ramos stomp on Yilmaz SHOULD have been a penalty. now I understand why we concede so many goals with Ramos-Pepe partnership both are so reckless glad Varane was there to mop up after him. both Alonso and Ramos missing the second leg meaning they wilp get a clean slate in the semis don't know why alonso got his tho?? mouthing off on the reff??
I didn't like cacktrao all their attacks came from his side I would have forgiven him if he was involved offensively but he wasn't. Arbeloa in the making. Marcelo next game please

Anyway I don't think that Ramos challenge was a pen. Ramos got the ball, you can't give a pen for that. Maybe if he didn't get the ball but he did.
Alonso got a yellow for the "foul" on Eboue, Ramos got a yellow for kicking the ball away i.e. time wasting lol

I couldn't tell because he was given the yellow off camera
As for the Ramos stomp. camon zeal, Ramos didn't win no ball. Yilmaz did go down slightly easy but Ramos got completely wrong and stomped on yilmaz foot instead of the ball. Now he is suspended for the second leg. who will score their goals now

Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
Alonso by far and away man of the match
he had a role to play in 2 goals of 3 and was really the fulcrum of our team
and again, this is the punishment for not putting a man on him. Give Alonso space and we become a deadly machine

Gala really played the only way how. Honestly didn't think they would. Was completely expecting Yilmaz or Drogs to be their lone forward with Wesley being the playmaker of sorts with a congested middle behind him i.e a 4-4-1-1.

If they did this we would have battered them (even more). They can't defend very well and by attacking they didn't let us get on top of them. At least that's how I feel about the game.

Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
meh, wasn't a fluid performance to be honest. We have to be much better than this... i consider only our first goal as the only good goal we scored.
again, mou MUST continue resting key players... alonso, di maria, varane, khedira

Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
It was a good performance, especially first half. Though of course Galatasaray didn't make it that hard for us. Benzema was playing well again, hope he keeps it, I like his subtle involvement in the build up of the 1st goal. And he scored, Higuain too!! That's the best news from this game.
MOTM is Ozil imo, though several others also has the case like Lopez, Alonso, Essien, Varane.

I hope Mourinho will use Essien at RB rather than Arbeloa.
Ozil MOM imo. Followed by Alonso and Varane.

over Mous dead body he starts lol
how many are allowed on the bench?? because he called up 21 players that means some have to be cut and if he isn't who is to say he won't get any minutes

Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
Pepe has been ruled out of Real Madrid's Champions League quarter-final second leg with Galatasaray through injury, according to various reports the Spanish media.
The Portuguese pulled up during a training session with a suspected muscle problem and has handed Jose Mourinho an unwelcome selection headache ahead of the Istanbul clash.
Sergio Ramos will not feature either in Turkey thanks to his first-leg yellow card, meaning that Raul Albiol and Raphael Varane will line up alongside each other in the heart of defence.
It remains to be seen how long Mourinho will be without the services of his compatriot but the former Porto defender seems certain to miss the Turk Telekom Arena clash.
"Following the Levante game, we had some injury worries about Pepe, so we'll wait for tomorrow and then see. Albiol may play instead of him," the former Inter coach said at his press conference.
The Spanish champions will also be without Xabi Alonso, who was also booked at the Bernabeu leg, meaning that Luka Modric is likely to partner either Sami Khedira or Michael Essien in midfield.
Mourinho will also have to choose between Angel Di Maria on the right wing and Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain up front.

Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
last time Albiol played he was shocking
I know he might not always get playing time but when you do you gotta deliver he doesn't. it irks me to see him boot the ball as hard as he can into the crowd with literally noone within 10 yards of him. like wtf you can do that at Valencia but for us you gotta do the bare minimum of passing it sideways 5 yards to your team mate
guy is very very limited. I would never start him vs Drogba. he is going to get eaten alive
