Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
Hope we can kill the tie at home because having to deal with a parked bus in Turkey could be a problem for us.

Would have preferred a bigger team, however don't mind that we got an easy one. However we shouldn't underestimate them.

Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
we learned against united thst we need to finish it off in the first leg
also we have already losr the league so it wouldn't hurt experimenting alittle bit to be able to beat PTB teams. tie is two weeks from now so we have plenty of time

yea, would have preferred a bigger side as well. to keep us focused. and avoid a dip in form and concentration.
the match may not be easily won after all, so fans should not think that we are going to score 3 or 4 goals in the first leg.
this is the champions league and gala have no pressure and nothing to lose.

Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
If you need motivation to be focused in a CL quarter final then you don't deserve to be a footballer at the highest level.
I expect the team to give it their all regardless of who they play. Besides I think a slower paced match is perfect for us after "Hell month" (Barca - United - Barca - United) we can "cool down" (That doesn't mean underestimate) and we can be in good mental shape and confidence if we reach the semis.

Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
the fact of the matter is. people would be butthurt regardless of who madrid drew.
and imo madrid could have beat any of the teams in a 2 leg tie apart from juve and bayern. so it didnt matter to me.

I expect an easy win at home, and a hard earned victory on the road.. Don't see how they can beat us in any leg

Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
Easiest draw on paper in terms of the oppositions that were available. Can't tell you I'm not ecstatic. Should comfortably go through, and I know we won't underestimate them. Spurs and APOEL were sort of weird oppositions in quarters as well and we didn't underestimate them. I think we're good

Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
Don't underestimate them at all... Drogba seems like the kind of striker that will trouble our CBs... On top of that, he doesn't even need service to be effective.
Time for Mou to face the beast he once created.

Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
Well said - Se7en.
We could n't beat BVB over 2 legs. Schalke, who improved vastly since last year, beat BVB last week. It was a wonderful match where Schalke squeezed BVB. Coming with confidence from that match and Gala seeing thro Schalke as an experienced big team was surprising.
Gala has lot of experience and players who won CL. Most importantly they are hungry. I think they are team to beat. Any body thinking we got lucky is plain stupid.

Look I'm sure Gala are a great team but if we can't beat them then we don't deserve to be in the semis.

Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
We MUST rest all our key players from now until Galatasary game, and start rotating players so that even in the later stages of CL we have players who are relatively fresh.
This should especially be true for Khedira, Alonso, Di Maria, Ozil, Coentrao, and Ramos.

tbh I think we will rest players anyways because they will be back from the international and some have been on a long trip like DiMaria who will probably start vs Bolivia
I just hope nobody gets injured. so far so good

Re: Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
We have to take semis into consideration too, and start playing key players less and less minutes, kuz against bayern,,, our players looked dead last season in semis.
