I honestly don't think he'll thrive from anywhere on the pitch against an opposition that actually pressures him into making snap decisions. I want to say that he's magically improved his decision- making ability and football IQ, but I'm not counting on it. Hopefully, I'm wrong. He played well yesterday.

Well, you gotta hand it to him. Against Betis, and particularly against Espagnol he was involved in all the goals. He also played for the team and was unselfish.

It's great to have a demon goal machine in Ronaldo, but yesterday, Bale was the unsung hero.

I hope he continues like this. He still has a long way to go but so far, I've been really impressed with him.

Him not being selfish was the best part. I just wish he'd be better at determining when it's best not to be selfish, and when it's best to go for glory. Last season, we saw a lot of him just standing there, trying to figure out what to do. It seemed to me that many of his wayward passes and misplaced shots were a result of him not entirely devoting himself to his decisions. He really thrives when his job is simple. We all know how good he is at running in straight lines and scoring goals Razz

I don't know how much experience he has with playing against teams that don't allow him much time on the ball, but I do know that he looked extremely uncomfortable against them last season.

Hope Madrid keeps Tapnaldo until he retires. It would be awful if they signed a hard working playmaking left winger and let Bale and Benzema carry the goalscoring.
