The tittle sum up everything. The way things are going it seems like the best players in the world are all playing among 4-6 elite clubs. Look at Barca for instant nearly almost all their players are the best in their position, then Bayern have Austria best player, Croatia best players, best winger etc, same with Juventus, Dortmund, Madrid and United.
I think if you are to mention top 50 players in the world, more than 90 percent of them play for one of these clubs.
Is it good for football or do you think it should be spread out...?

At the end of the day the best players want to play for the best teams. So I don't think it's possible for players to be spread out.

Distribute TV money evenly and you will have done what you can to prevent this from happening.

It's not about league TV money only, teams that make the CL consistently have a much higher budget. Back when only the champion of each league made the champion's league and usually this champion was not the same every year, the CL money didn't make much of a difference. But since the top 4 clubs of the top 4 leagues have made it they have a much higher economical advantage. If you look at the PL the "top 4" sides that would go to the CL and perform well in it consistently were only broken apart by City's and the Spur's huge spending.

But TV money from your own league is the only thing that can be influenced how it's distributed.

The problem is, the Top players want to play for the most successful clubs. The clubs that keep winning make more money, they can use that money to buy players and offer them better wages. With the new players they can compete for yet more silverware which brings in more money.
With the trophies come fans, with fans come money etc etc.
It's a big cycle that can't be stopped short of giving every team an identical transfer and wage budget which can't really happen.

But 25 years ago the money difference was much smaller giving smaller clubs the ability to purchase players like Maradona and Zico. Can you see Napoli being able to purchase Messi/C. Ronaldo now? The reasons for the explosion of money are the expansion of the champions league, explosion of TV revenue, bosman law and new entrants with deep pockets.TomJuve wrote:The problem is, the Top players want to play for the most successful clubs. this^
I would also like to add that the OP makes it seem as if only 3-4 teams are competing for silverware. Ill admit that this year has been a freak year in terms of lack of competitiveness within each league but over the past couple years or so the difference in quality among the top 10-15 teams is a lot less than assumed by the OP - even in your own post you mentioned 6 teams when your original statement was 3-4 teams.

The only way you can ensure parity is to set a wage/transfer fee cap of some kind.
I'm not sure UEFA would want that to happen. Not when TV money is dependant on the big clubs in Europe doing well.
