Well, the current Frankfurt-crop will get picked apart by the (richer) vultures of football just like the Mainz team of 2 seasons ago that lost the likes of Holtby and Schürrle in the same summer.

Re: Daily Transfer Rumors thread
And I'll be damned if we can't leapfrog Leverkusen too, FFS. But we ain't got no money - if the youngsters like Jung, Rode, and Okcipka are smart, they'll stay another season, at least, but they might not.
The sad thing is, Frankfurt got rich-as-f*ck sponsors, if the club had more prestige they could easily squeeze a sizable sum out of those companies, I wish they'd choose the coming season to increase the sponsorship deals.
It's not like Commerzbank or Fraport can't afford pumping like 50m each into the club

Re: Daily Transfer Rumors thread
TV-deal didn't pay out dick for the past years, this will only change with the coming season. Frankfurt just got relegated and are in their first season back up in the 1st flight, they renovated their stadium not too long back, and they never had huge income to begin with.
This is probably mostly a marketing issue, teams like Frankfurt just don't make a lot of money from endorsements and sponsorship deals, and German clubs are notoriously allergic to going into debt, even if it sometimes makes sense (iE go into debt for like 10 or 20m to stay in the first flight would pay for itself).
But frankly, I don't even really know how a club like Frankfurt, with a big stadium, being the only relevant club in it's entire region, and rich-as-f*ck sponsors can be that broke. Maybe someone else knows better (looking at you, RWO and Babun) - but I don't.
The last time I remember them being a well-outfitted side was in the 90s.

I have no idea but that their management seems to be grossly wanting.VivaStPauli wrote:But frankly, I don't even really know how a club like Frankfurt, with a big stadium, being the only relevant club in it's entire region, and rich-as-f*ck sponsors can be that broke. Spurs are a very rich club, they only 3rd behind City and Chelsea in net spend over the last decade.
Its not that surprising tbh and ignoring TV money altogether which does help of course but they are highly likely to be in CL too next season which will help too.

He's very good RG, a Dortmund target actually. Many call him "The New Schweini".

Too early to tell tbh, but he is very complete, and is playing a fantastic season. Good presence, runs a lot, nice positioning and tackls, good vision and passing, if he keeps up his development, he'll be a very complete CM.

Bayern and Dortmund don't need him. He should join his fellow brothers, podolski, mertesacker and Gnabry at Arsenal

Rumors that PSG and Juve are discussing a straight swap of Verrati and Pogba at the end of the season... tbh, it makes sense for everyone.

Doesn't make sense from Juventus' point of view, in my opinion.

Actually Bayern don't have a proper Piggy-replacement, which Rode could be within a year if he continues his development (though I would never move to Bayern if I wasn't already the finished article) and Dortmund... Well they really don't need him. They got Sahin and Gündogan as creative DMs and Bender and Kehl as destructive ones.
But who knows.
He'd be nice to have for any team, unless it's all hot air and born from great team chemistry.
