Inter and Roma are said to be monitoring the development of Atletico Mineiro midfielder Bernard.

Scouts from both clubs were in the stands to watch the Brazilian clubs latest match in the Copa Libertadores as they took on Argentine side Arsenal de Sarandi.

Tuttomercatoweb.com are reporting that both clubs were very impressed by the youngsters performance as he bagged a hat-trick.

The 20-year-old has a contract with the Brazilian club that runs until 2017, and is valued at close to €10 million.

"FC Barcelona have invited us to attend the Barcelona-AC Milan Champions League meeting", Abdennour’s agent Abdelkader Jilani told Tunisian radio station Shems FM.

"This is purely a friendly invitation and it does not mean that we will sign", he added.

"Since last year, and to rejuvenate their defence, Barcelona have followed Abdennour.

"Toulouse is close to Barcelona, so scouts often come from Barcelona to the stadium and have become familiar with Abdennour.

"The future for Abdennour will be at a big European club, either Barcelona or another big club."

Honestly though, they should go for someone like Lovren imo. They should slowly start the rebuilding stage. Xavi, Iniesta, Alves aren't getting any younger and they should blend the youth with the experience of those players. Messi will carry them as a title-challenge side on his own anyway.

Not saying that they don't need to rejuvenate, but Milan won the CL in 07 with a team far older than the current Barca.
