Interesting draw. We Avoided barca so that's a relief but Bayern are the 2nd strongest team lol

We can do this if we improve in 3 months. Although it looks hard

Maybe by that point Bayern will have pulled a 2011-2012 and totally ruined a very promising season. We can only hope!

Seriously though I won't pass judgment on our chances until I see how we're lining up in terms of personnel and form at the time of the games. If we had finished first in our group though, we would have gotten Galatasaray instead

Bayern Munich. Tough draw, but I winnable if we're on form.

I'm not all that fussed about progressing to the later rounds. We're way out of their depth in this competition and even with improvements in January, Bayern are a superior side. The only thing I want out of this tie is a memorable home game, like with Barcelona a couple of years ago. We got spanked in the second leg but that 2-1 win ranks very highly in my favourite Arsenal games.

*Arsenal have played 6 knockout-ties v German clubs in Europe. They've qualified 3 times and been knocked out 3 times.

AFC XI in last meeting with Bayern (1-0 win, 2005 ): Lehmann; Lauren Toure Senderos Cole; Ljungberg Flamini Vieira Reyes; Bergkamp Henry.

Our mid is much quicker than theirs and mire technical. But my major worry is the two r´s, Ribery and robben. Fear they will overload our midfield and be too much for our defence. We need to sign some like Adrian to do the same job they do for bayern, provide an outlet with pace and skill. These things need to happen for us to win this

1. Jack and bac need to be back at their best from their injury (if Jack can put a barca esque performance that would be really helpful)
2. We must not burn out cazorla and arteta
3. We need to sign 2 forwards with pace and skill

Now the other question is whether we need a proper physical aggressive dm, for some reason it makes me guilty to propose dropping arteta. Either way we need another dm to prevent burning out arteta anyway
