Most entertaining team of all time
Which team was the most entertaining you've watched?
Edit: say the formation, tactics, players and why they were entertaining.

Am I supposed to make a starting 11 or just name a team?I would say the German nt of 2010 or the Italian team or the euro 2012.

Name the team, the players, the tactics/formation and why they were the most entertaining ever.

Re: Most entertaining team of all time
I guess the question here is what one considers "entertaining". Personally I'm torn between gung-ho high-scoring matches and matches where the GKs excel and keep a clean sheet (or allow only a few goals) despite the attackers throwing everything at them. So the teams could be very different and have very different tactics to entertain me.

Arsenal 05-06 was my favourite Arsenal , like ever. The football, that (100year?)kit , Ljungberg , Bergkamp , Pires and Henry ; entertaining
I would watch Arsenal often these days , mostly in Europe, though iirc in the CL Wenger often went defensive some times. Personaly i like them more than Arsenal in 07-08 , even though the later did play some great football , especialy against rivals .
Also , that CL night against Milan in San Siro

That was a poor season lol, but we did play some excellent football and i think you are talking about games like when we won 7-0 against Boro etc. Ljunberg carried us mostly as Henry was out most of the time. CL Campaign was the highlight of that season.
07/08 was our best season since 04-05. We just lost 3 times in the league and it was Wenger's dream team in a way with technically brilliant players all over the pitch. That San Siro performance will never be forgotten

tell me about it
Anyway , i do remember some incredible games in parts . Henry in the CL was superb. I really miss Pires , Freddy and Henry , i liked them so much on their day. Was "rooting" for Arsenal in the final too
_
On topic now .
I think the team i enjoyed the most , ironicaly enough , was a Milan side that didn't win anything that season. That Milan of 2005-2006 . That season we played some unbelievable games , everywhere around Europe. Sometimes that Milan team had so much quality , that it had superiority issues , they seemed like they didn't take some games seriously.
On the other , when i remember games like against Lyon , Sachtar , Barcelona games , Inter vs Milan , Milan - Udinese , Milan-Parma
Sheva was on fire that season too , basicaly everyone , it's still a mystery to me how that side ended up with nothing. Well , not so much a mystery ,
cough-Moggi-cough
Especialy that midfield of Pirlo-Gattuso-Seedorf-Kaka in the diamond formation , was something special for me. It had simply put , everything , just everything. Pirlo and Seedorf 1-2 were sublime too watch , class all over . Unfortunately , Maldini and Nesta had some injuries that season and Stam was often hot and cold ..Cafu too . They always turned up in the big games though .
Other than Milan from 2003-2007, Barcelona in 08-09 / 09-10 and 1999-2000 (though i remember just a few games , especialy against Chelsea in the CL )
Arsenal i've already talked about.. Olympiacos in 2004-2005 was a spectacular team to watch as well , with Rivaldo-Giovanni-Castillo up front doing extraordinary things for the Greek football standards , also won Liverpool at home and managed to get eliminated in the last match of the group stage with Gerrards fantastic goal close the end of that game , which ended 3-1 for Liverpool and qualified instead of Olympiacos.
As for National teams , i feel particularly lucky to have watched at the age of 8 many games of France's NT in 1998 WC , with Petit , Zidane and Henry being my favourite players of their NT. I always had something for French footballers since then.
I really enjoyed Brazil and Germany in the Korea-Japan WC as well. I was actualy rooting for Germany
The last NT i really enjoyed watching them play was again Germany in this Euros , they have an amazing bunch of talented players .
This for the end
Sheva - Inzaghi
Kaka
Seedorf-Gattuso
Pirlo
Maldini-Nesta-Stam-Cafu
Dida

Chile 2010 - Bielsa...need I say more?
They entertained me to the point where I wanted them to knockout Dunga's Brazil that year. I will edit this later and add the other information the original poster asked for...

Not forgetting Jinky on the right wing & Lennox on the left wing, very attacking team but good defensively too... they absolutely dominated Inter Milan in that 67 final, that 2-1 score was flattering to Inter, attacking football won the day that day.

Kind of hard to beat Sacchi's Milan, I'd say the Galaticos were up there with them. Guardiola's Barca was incredible, but a bit boring to watch with their style of play.

Herraras Inter that won back to back champions league in the 60s. Hard to beat, scored bucket load of goals, invented the modern fullback.

-------------Neuer--------------
Lahm-Mertesacker-Fried-Boa
---------Khedira-Schweni-----
--Muller-----Ozil------Podolski
-------------Klose----------------
Their counter attacking game was great to watch,Schweinsteiger was at his peak. Also, the fact that they were kind of underdogs made everything more interesting.
Aaaaaan they destroyed Argentina

Re: Most entertaining team of all time
I wouldn't call Germany underdogs in 2010, but they had a very young squad considering. Muller was so impressive in that tournament for me
2006 Argentina was fun to watch
Enough said
Italy in 2006 and 2012 for sure, for personal reasons
Barcelona in 2008-2009
