Re: Roma...
Roma is poor man's arsenal, they have the squad to win the league but lack the mentality to do so.

I love how people start their posts with "no offense" and think that makes it ok to write stupid comments like that. That ludicrous guy you speak of is one of the few honest men left in this sport.

Re: Roma...
the usage of "no offence" in my sentence was to gloze it with the fact that im not a roma hater nor was i intenting to get someone bitter
basically to make the ''shite'' word i reffered with look as a general opinion rather than a personal insult

Re: Roma...
It's all in the defence. Everything else is perfect. But no, as McLewis says Roma are not overated - they are the 'entertaining losers', the team of 'hopeless romantics'. Everybody but the Lazio supporters has a soft spot for Roma, but they never manage to get it together.
And Lamela is not better than SES, Baresi, let alone easily better.

Re: Roma...
Roma is that sister in the family that has done better, could do better and should do better, but for a myriad of reasons, never really has gotten herself together fully. She's crazy, passionate, unpredictable and just out there away from the rest of the family. Roma is the black sheep of the Serie A family basically. The potential and ability has always been there and will always be there, but the application will happen only in spurts. Roma simply wasn't built to be a perennial powerhouse like Inter and Juve have been. Zeman's presence through his own eccentricity, accentuates the point I'm making.
That said, we are hardly "shite". We're just terribly inconsistent, just like Lazio. That's what it is to be a Roman club.

Re: Roma...
If not for the disgraceful refereeing against Juve, Roma would have been ahead of Juve on the table by now.
Anyway nice to see them picking the momentum, I hope they keep it up and finally seeing Zeeman win a title, he deserves.

Re: Roma...
The game against Fiorentina was fantastic, attacking play that surpasses the other Serie A (Brazilian).
You only need to see them once to understand why they won't be champions. The team is super intense, very kamizake. Old guys like Totti will not be able to perform like this week in and week out.

As much as Totti is performing well and helping the team this season, I believe Roma will perform better without him.chinomaster182 wrote:The game against Fiorentina was fantastic, attacking play that surpasses the other Serie A (Brazilian).

What? Their defense is piss poor, 4th worst in the league. The defense is actually inhibiting the team from performing better.

That's an overall look on it, 7amood.
Last 4 games we've given up only 3 goals. Compare that to a month or so ago when we were shipping 7 and 8 in that same stretch.
Spells defensive improvement to me.

Absolutely. But saying those 4 games have somehow made them the most consistent team is absurd, even from baresi lmao
Obviously it's their attack, if anything, which has made them consistent. They always look capable of scoring goals this season

Well yeah that's the truth of it. We've simply scored more goals than we concede...only just, but there you go. That's a Zeman team for you after all.
There are plenty of variables that can explain our improvement defensively though...like having a South American in goal that can communicate with a backline that is 3/4 South American for instance.

Re: Roma...
@ Luca & 7amood
When I said consistent it was before the good run of Roma, it was a while back when the defense leaked goals left and right, and I meant consistent in the sense of blowing up leads and losing points., which they were consistent in that. It was a response to Luca who said they are not consistent.

Fair enough, they have been rather consistently poor in that area, but I when using the term consistent I would rather discuss the team's good qualities, if that makes sense, they consistently score goals and their defense has improved

Re: Roma...
why do i even trust them and bet on them ffs
did the goalkeeper just get forward in the 85th minute or something?
how stupid is that?
why the hell waste all 3 of your substitutions so fast and suddenly?
now that injury marked the game..............................

The referee ruined the game. Clear penalty denied for Roma. Chievo break through, and then scored while in an offside position

Zeman is not to blame. He threw on Lamela to add pace down the flank and a better attacking edge. He threw on De Rossi because Bradley was not having a good game. And he threw on Destro because Totti was on a yellow card and was about to talk himself into a 2nd one. These subs were needed and we had plenty of chances after that.
It was Bergonzi's shitty officiating that cost us this match. I would've been entirely happy with a draw here because we were not good enough to win. Chievo's defense had a very, very good night.
After the match, Zeman refused to talk to the media and all Totti would say is "If I say anything, I'll get suspended".
That tells you just how pissed off these guys are. They were robbed of a point by a shat referee, not fog.
