How good is Adrián López?

I've heard/read that 2011/12 is his first "great" season and he's already 24. Late bloomer or one season wonder?

Arsenal have been linked with him all summer and now again there are reports that he's Wenger's priority apparently.

Adrian Lopez is a goat, he hasn't been played that much this season because Simeone has instead decided to play his love child on Adrian's wing. Adrian has been covering for Falcao as a striker tho along with Costa but he is not comfortable as a striker, he is better as a winger

And if Wenger wants him as a striker, he is just wasting his time, Adrian isn't good as a number 9. However as a winger

He is a good player, nothing special for now, but he is very skilled. More of a late bloomer since he "broke through" during the u21 Euros. Avid watchers of la liga would have noticed him with Depor, but even then i didnt think he was very spectacular.

I like him, typical spanish forward who is neither a 9 nor a true winger. Better played as an outsider striker in an attacking line of 3, kinda like Pedro. Much more skilled than Mehcott as far as i am concerned, and he will do a lot better in Arsenal possession game.

If we're to believe "AS" Arsenal are after Benat aswell... but I won't look much into that, his £20m release clause will scare Wenger off

I think Arsenal need to get an elite forward.

Adrian, Podolski, Giroud, Walcott etc are all on a similar level.

He will suggest someone that is too expensive for Arsenal anyway.

Arsenal always relied on making players better because they are the right fit, nothing will change. In the new class of Spanish CF, Rodrigo is the best talent coming up in my opinion, but Wenger is looking for a wide forward it seems.

Benat? he plays the same position as Arteta, but he is smaller and not that good defender. why him?

Yeah. Llorente would be a good choice but i doubt we will get him. We need an established, strong, technical goal scorer like him and I can't think of anyone else who we might get at this point.

I don't know too much of Benat, but you're right, he's likely not what we need right now.

An effective wide forward for us would be the guy in my avatar. Pace, deadly FKs, dribbling, accurate crossing which we really lack btw (Giroud NEEDS this service), great technique and shot.. but there's no way i can see it happening.

Thing is, Atletico are about the lose Falcao, so Adrian is precious to them

Definitely. Highly doubt Atletico will sell him, but for the right price, you never know, and if the player wants to leave then it makes it easier. Atletico would likely crumble if he and Falcao were to both go.

I would love to see Damiao at Arsenal, as unlikely as it may be, i think it could happen.

you should use all your resorces on Benat, he is epic

A pity he is still with Betis. Man that guy will shore up your midfield, but who will be dropped is the question. Either its Arteta who is too precious for you or its his partner, whoever that would be. i wouldn't say that it would be a failure if he and Arteta played together in a 4-2-3-1 formation

Not exactly nick, Benat will in essence be a CM and Arteta a deep lying play maker or a DM however way you look at it

I definitely think he would be a better fit than Wheelchair or any of those other mids that they have

that depends on how Wilshere will re-introduce himself after being out for so long. If he recaptures his pre-injury form, or comes really close, then he'll be undroppable in midfield. I reallly hate overhyping players but the fact is that Wilshere was incredible for us before he got injured.

But Wheelchair was a very good defender, and an great athlete + english grit.

things Benat dont have

Arsenal play possession football although they play more direct now, they dont need grit and steel, and who is to say wheelchair wouldn't turn out another brave scotty Brave Scotty Parker

Betis play very similar in that they have a DM next to him, sure Betis are doing bad atm but they have been extremely unlucky as well

Arteta is not a DM tho, and to be fair, Betis shouldnt be a reference point for Arsenal imo

As much as I like Benat... I think we're pretty set in midfield. Wilshere, Frimpong, Rosicky are yet to come back and Coquelin is barely playing. Unless someone leaves (*cough* Coquelin *cough*) I don't see the need.

If anything... Arsenal will try to get an extra striker, an inside winger ala Adrian or both.
