Yaya Toure wants a new challenge

Yaya Toure has gone as far as he can at Manchester City and wants a new challenge at a club such as Barcelona, Chelsea or Bayern Munich, according to his agent.

The Ivory Coast midfielder's representative, Dimitri Seluk, believes his client has done everything he can at City after winning the FA Cup and Premier League title.

Seluk feels several European heavyweights, including English rivals and last year's UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea, would be interested in signing the 29-year-old.

But the agent would most like to see Toure return to Barca, from where he joined City in 2010 in a reported £24million move after three seasons at Camp Nou.

"Toure has done everything that he can with City and needs new motivations," Seluk was quoted as saying by Sport.

"He could sign for many big clubs, like Chelsea or Bayern Munich, but I would like it if Barca made a bid for him."

I don't understand why his agent wants Barca to bid for him...and that is making me think that this might be Agent BS or whatever. But where can Yaya go next ?

I would think to sort his retirement out he might join PSG or Anzhi

Yaya has a horrible agent, found that out in his time with us. His agent just wants a move to collect more money, obviously. And Yaya is a fool for letting this guy control him so easily.

I would love him back at Barca, but now we have Song it isnt going to happen. It probably wouldnt happen minus Song either but there was at least some space for him.

If he leaves City, it going to be as RG says I suspect.

Just a plot to get more money imo, or a longer new deal. If he is leaving, he is going to PSG, since i assume he still wanna compete

im saying that if barca rejects him then there is no reason for him to reject madrid only cause they are considered a rival team,
in fact if barca actually do reject him and madrid want him then the chances rise imo

This is the most obvious "I want a new bigger contract" move I've ever seen from the agent.

Everyone knows how much I like Yaya but his agent is a tool and since he's almost 30 and his contract isn't up until 2015 his agent is basically just pissing and moaning that he's not going to get anymore money out of Yaya or City until the middle of 2014.

I mean he's already one of the best paid players in the league and on the team. And City knows how much trouble they would be in without him so he isn't going anywhere.

The agent has been trying to renegotiate this contract for like 6 months now and City are telling him he's insane it's 2012 and the contract runs until 2015, there is no reason to even bring it up and he is trying to act like it''s a slap in the face to Yaya but I haven't seen Yaya say anything about leaving Cityl.

Although when he did leave BArca he did say he wished he would come back later in his career but it's just not happening for a couple years. I would love to have him as I'm sure any team would.

Let me start by saying I am confident this is purely the creation of his agent to either incite a new contract from city (and collect his fee) or instigate a transfer (and collect his fee). I highly doubt there is any truth to this.

That said, if City lose him, they will struggle to replicate the dominance they showed at times last season. He makes them tick, and he wins them games they otherwise wouldn't get. City would either have to adapt their style to suit Silva or Nasri in the center (likely implemented by a new manager, as I don't see Mancini catering to the Spaniard's strengths) or find a replacement capable of replicating Toure's playing style.

If he were to go, PSG and Anzhi are likely the only ones to pick up his contract. I don't see him going to Madrid.

Yaya's 30 next year...

Which top club would buy him?

United would gladly take him and is what we need, but since he has wore the scums blue, he can never play for us lol
