I would advise them to add a feature where you can change the transfer frequency of players like in PES titles. Low if you don't want players to move at all or very little, Normal if you want teams to just buy players when they actually need them and not just for the lulz, and High if you want the crazy, unrealistic, "Chelsea stacking up on world class strikers and nothing else" method.

You have to be careful though, putting the setting on Normal can make the game way too realistic and you end up facing the same players all the time, I know people who stick to High because of this, so that they face new players all the time, even if crap like Messi to Madrid happens. I prefer normal though.

Went back to FIFA 12, it's awesome. Note this in your diarys and tell your grandchildren boys, about this day when a PES fanboy admited a FIFA game awesome, because it will never happen again.

To bring back some balance, I'll just say that FIFA 13 sucks, Konami is better then EA and PES is the ultimate football game

Anyway, back on-topic, gonna start a new manager mode as Wolfsburg, they look like they could use some help lol

Still never had any FIFA game crash outright or run into a game-breaking bug, bar one instance in FIFA12.

I've had some lag when editing line-ups on 13 but never experienced a major, game-breaking bug.

I'm personally have a cracking time playing this game.

- The first touch system is really hit-and-miss as some of my players with better ball control (Pjanic, Lamela and Totti) shouldn't be losing possession because they knocked the ball a yard in front of them. So that needs to be ironed out.

- Dribbling system has improved markedly though. Much easier to get in behind defenders using that RB button to shimmy around their tackles.

- Crossing is a bit frustrating, but in the best possible way since it's entirely dependent on the crossing ability of the player which means Balzaretti is a truly complete full-back and Piris is just mediocre lol. That's nice authenticity.

- Unfortunately, I'm still skeptical of the youth academy system. Still largely a guessing game, but with the newly improved growth system, I may just give it more effort than I did with FIFA12.

Those my only real criticisms of the gameplay honestly. None of those are enough for me to say "this game is shite" like some folks (looking at you Mole ).

I've only made one signing for my Roma squad in career mode and that was bringing in Danilo from Porto for 15m. Exactly what I needed at RB as he works so well with Lamela on that flank. I'm concentrating primarily on blooding our younger players. Here's my squad sitting in 2nd place behind Juventus with about a month to go in my first season:

- Loving the improved growth system for my younger players. Danilo has a +2, Marquinhos has +4, Dodo +3, Florenzi +5 (), Pjanic +2, Bradley +2, Tachtsidis (+2), Lamela + 3, Lopez +3, Goicoechea +4.

- Totti is currently my top scorer with 16 goals in the league alone, 24 in all comps. I play a false 9 4-3-3 so Destro's more of a CF than an ST which means he does a lot more assisting than scoring, which is why he's leading the league with 12 assists.

- Balzaretti's kinda a douche, trolling me for playing Dodo over him and then gloating when he puts in a better performance than Dodo

Overall, Its got kinks like any game does, especially FIFA games. It's superior to 12 though so that's what matters.

Messi forcing his way out of Barcelona happened in FIFA 12, too. The fact it still happens in FIFA 13 just shows that the transfer system really isn't as changed as EA said it would be; any player will move for any price, and any player is just as likely to move as the other regardless of how unlikely.

Fortunately, being only a few months into my career mode, I haven't encountered many unrealistic transfers; certainly not one of the extent of Messi leaving Barcelona.

Saying that, I did have an amusing saga where my young striker, Max Clayton, became unhappy when I, apparently, did not fulfill my promise to make him a future first team player within four months of signing.

lol, well u shouldve seen the clayton saga coming (jk, of course) but yeah. I mean Messi leaving Barca, even now wouldnt be 100% inconceivable but its just the damn conditions that I dont get. First he says that he no longer feels comfortable on the team (or something along those lines), then I refuse to sell him, cause WTF? And after that he says that he CANNOT stay at the club because theres no other explanation and shortly thereafter the "board" just sells him, and for damn cheap too. All that in the span of less than a month during the very first transfer window. Luckily though, Nerman saved us and on April 4th of 2013 he's got 48 goals and 20 assists in 44 games, so no complaints there.

But it just kind of sucks because now Messi's gone so no more stat padding.
And I S*** you not, the only major NT deal that was offered to me was of course Argentina, which of course I took.

Oh and on crossing, whats your settings?

Set it to manual is you havent already. Takes getting used to and at first your crosses will probably go either to go the goalies hands, out for a goal kick or to the edge of the box but after you get used to it its much better.

Dont understand why on semi or auto EA sets it top pick out players, almost as random.

Think my crossing is on semi-assisted so I'll try manual and just get used to it. Probably better for me anyway. Thing is though, I'm not that big of a crosser as I've become more accustomed to just turning inside from the flanks and working my through the backline that way....If I cross, it's usually an early cross before I even get near the box.

Gotze tried to force his way out in January transfer window, despite being very happy and in excellent form.....he is 22 and rated 92....so luckily the price tag was $130,000,000 the board was trying to sell him, but no takers haha i was sweating it out on deadline day tho, i would of been screwed, no time to buy a replacement.
