How highly do you rate Tito Vilanova?

Hes topping the table.

Bought two classy players in Song and especially Alba.

Future looks bright for him and Barcelona it seems.

What you think?

Still needs time to proper evalutate him. In my case anyways.

He made good purchases imo but there are others who dont really like alba or rate him so different people will obviously not only see that aspect but many others, differently than you.

Barca looked better defensively under Pep imo.

He benched Messi to rest him... that in itself shows something.

Its like with Abidal sick and all, barca didnt need another left back. Adriano is enough on his own. He has already had a small injury which kept him out this season, but its all good.

And also if alves gets injured like he did vs madrid, who needs another left back to cover Adriano as he switches to right back? That Tito guy is clueless I tell ya.

Dont get me started on Song! Busquets is made of steel. He can play 50 odd matches on the trot. No worries there.

Mascherano can play DM, when needed too, even though hes probably needed more in defence as Puyol is aging.

^ What is this myth I hear about a "tall CB" for barca? Madrid, Chelsea, even citeh, have tall CBs, that all struggle in defence. Madrid are even worse at set pieces.

Barca look for someone who fits the whole philosophy not just classic traits. Look what happened with Chygrynski!!

Which world class CB in their right mind would want to come to barca and warm the bench waiting for an injury to 2 first choice CBs?

You have to be in sync with the midfielders, have to destribute the ball like a DM, as well as comfortable in possession. There's a massive area to be expolited at your back and any silly moves, its a 1-on-1 chance, as Mascher found out against Madrid.

A possesion based team puts technic before sheer strength. Thats why busquets and mascherano can safely defend our backline.

A JT-like defender wouldn't last in our defence!!

When barca are doing well= even a monkey can coach this team and win.

Spartak Moscows coach was tactically better then Tito, but Barcas amount of talent was just overwhelming for his side.
