At this rate, might aswell introduce a transfer system ffs
There's nothing to really complain about tbh. If a player hasn't played for any other team in an official match and holds a passport he should be eligible.

Sevilla had a big ole' banner referencing their recent 5-1 and 4-0 wins over Betis, but UEFA banned it for being "too offensive".

Re: -The Official Club of Europa League>Champions League Gathering-
playing youth football with one country doesnt stop you from playing NT senior football for another. I know that because a lot of african born in france play for french youth teams and then declare for their african countries as they grow older.

According to FIFA offical rules, this shouldnt be true. But of course there are various ways around it as shown many many times.

This case is different. They're eligible to play for country X at senior level because they we're eligible to play for country X when they made an appearance for France at youth level.

Absolute cauldron of an atmosphere in Torino as the fan display pre-match was a mere compliment. The tifosi want that final in Torino.

Re: -The Official Club of Europa League>Champions League Gathering-
Sevilla 0 - 2 Betis. Sevilla with a boat-load of chances in the first half, failed to take them then got caught on the break. Second half, more chances, one missed from a yard out, hit on the break again.
Emery got his tactics in the second half completely wrong. The team was creating the chances but not taking them. There was nothing wrong with the shape of the team, but he completely over-reacts by throwing on Gameiro and going to his stock "when in doubt" 4-4-2 that only succeeded in rendering his two most potent attacking players in Rakitic and Bacca completely ineffective. The team ended up losing all attacking shape and it became easy for Betis to defend.
Not impossible to come back in the second leg, but it's going to take a much better performance, with some clinical finishing and patience from Emery.

So Valencia, Lyon, Betis & Benfica are through!!! I assume!!!
Why did Basel rest so many regulars for this game!!! They may have dug a hole for themselves. Do you expect Napoli & Fiorentina to go through!!! Juventus rested almost their entire starting squad, didn't they!!!

Basel didn't rest anyone. Streller, Safari, Diaz, Voser, Xhaka, Ivanov, and Schär were all out due to injuries. If you looked at their bench, they only had U21 kids sitting there, and Murat Yakin actually subbed in two 17 year old kids in the end.iftikhar wrote:Why did Basel rest so many regulars for this game!!! WOO HOOO! I thought Fiorentina has a chance. 1-1 away to Juve is a very good result.
I dont watch Juve much and just dont like their style much, but they seem to be all about tempo and still a bit weak up front? So strange that they can overpower all the teams in the league and yet often struggle in Europe. I know a lot of you guys explanations for that, but this game, Forentina hung on ion the first half, but really controlled the ball especially in the second half and Juve made to chase around.
Is it fair to say Fiorentina is a better possession team than Juve?
If they beat Juve, I think they could be favourites for the cup![Very Happy](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_biggrin.png)

Of course I ' ll support Fiorentina in return match but it won't easy for them. I can't see them to finish a match with clean sheet considering its scrubs defence tbh.
At least Montella had the good sense to not to play with " Mr. I don't know what I am doing " Modibo Diakite, worst Fiorentina defender since Mazinho, while Conte was not of the same opinion and he chose to commit suicide with Ogbonna. Obviously guilty on 1-1. Italian NT...
When I saw the Juventus 's lineup ,without Tevez and Llorente, I had not doubts the scorer would have been Vidal. Always decisive in these matches and more lethal than some juventus forwards.
A bit surprising also to see Cuadrado on bench.

Maybe Conte will finally discover his balls in Europe seeing how Juve has to score.

I was really happy seeing Cuadrado benched, that guy is a beast, I'd love him at Juve to be honest. Fast, skillful, great dribbler, just what we need especially if we switch to 4-3-3 (we won't though, knowing Conte
)
