Actually, I think we are actually playing better without him. Now its more about a team than it was under him. And no way I want him to be captain again. Judas showed how poor a captain Cesc really was.

That said, I would not say no to Cesc coming back to Arsenal one bit. As long as he is a player, not as the captain.

No way Wenger or Cesc would take back the arm band, i want him to lead us with Vermaelen as Captian.

Cesc on Ronaldo :
"He's a very experienced player, he'll certainly push forward," Fabregas told Radio Marca.

"Playing football is 95 per cent of the happiness of each [player]. Then each one will know what you want or deserve."

Some of you really need to wake up and let people find there place in a team.

Cesc did anything but fail last year as he scored 15 goals and had 20 assists playing for a new team in a new position and scored in some Clasico's.

Since when is that failing? There are certain players who don't come close to those numbers who posters on this board wank all over.

We are a couple games into the season, IMO he looks a little out of shape but once the season hits full swing and he's in full shape we all know how much class Cesc has. If Tito is as good of a coach we hope he is Cesc will fit in fine this year.

And LOL to the poster who said Henry was a flop at Barca.

The expectations put on Barcelona and there players are so over the top on this board it's insane. I mean some of you people act like players like Ibra, Sanchez and Cesc shouldn't have any adjustment period to a new league and one of the most difficult systems in the world. Not to mention the wake up call that there not the best player on there team anymore and they have to play around Messi instead of freelancing by themselves.

 post.

Many didnt like his move to Barca anyway, therefore any problem that appears, people are quick air their displeasure at his perfomances.

If barca were like that, pedro, pique, abidal, villa would have been sold when they had bad spells.

Cesc was arguably considered the best player in the EPL 2-3 years ago. To me, he is a rhythm player and needs playing time + the ball to really express himself. He has neither at Barca. He doesn't rely on explosive pace or great physical strength... traits that you can call upon immediately. It's all about feel and finesse with him.

Being a bench substitute is a horrible role for Cesc given his profile and age.

Cesc forced himself out of Arsenal. He has to suffer the repercussions of his decision.Hes been shit and shouldnt be a regular in the first team unless he ups his performances 50% more than he is already doing.

Ibra has 4 goals in 3 games.... so i wouldn't include him in any "adjustment" talk. He's dominating as usual. The problem with PSG has been Lavezzi suspended for 4 games, Silva hasn't played yet, Motta was injured and, of course, Pastore is disappointing again.

Uh if you didn't know we have a new coach this year and if you watch the games he isn't being played in the same position he was last year plus we are playing way less of a 3 man back line like Pep was tinkering with all of last year.

Not to mention we are 3 freaking league games into the new season.

It is very obvious (again if you actually watch the games) that Tito has a very different view of Cesc's role in the team then Pep did.

Does that answer your condescending question? Not to mention in his first year on the team when he scored 15 goals and had 20 assists there were people all over this board saying he was a flop, so then there's that too.

Post by Clockwork Orange Wed Sep 05, 2012 7:41 pm

The problem is not Cesc's, the problem is Barcelona's playing style. I have had this discussion with my friend's before, and we all agreed that Cesc moving to Barcelona was a bad move. The way people on here praise La Masia is bewildering, especially considering how many amazing players my teams youth academy had produced.

I have always maintained the fact that Xavi, Inesta and Messi are freaks. Cesc's problem is that he was brought in as a long term replacement for Xavi, which quite frankly, is the most stupid transfer I have ever witnessed. Xavi is the best organiser I have ever seen. Barcelona's sytem isn't impossible, it's following the 3 freaks that is impossible. Barcelona is so Messi dependent it is frightening. I have never seen one team depend on one player in my life, it ios essentially the anti-thesis to what van Gaal did at Ajax. Barcelona might have a system, but they have built it completely around Messi. It's no surprise that when he does not turn up, Barcelona's level as a whole drops.

I have seen a lot of Barcelona youth games, I am sorry I do not rate la masia as highly as the media, and a lot of people in Amsterdam agree with my asertions as well. If I remmeber correctly, a president of one of the Brazilaian clubs said something similar, of how he thought there was nothing special about la masia. He was telling the truth. Cesc was going to alwaysstruggle, because the roles he was going to occupy, are filled by 1 in a lifetime players. If it was as sytematic as people are saying, he will have adaptd a lot faster, but he is expected to mimic Messi and Xavi, so it was never going to work. I feel that Barcelona needs to start looking at their system, and why so many players adapt rather than looking at the players. Say what you want, but Barcelonas 'system' at the moment is to circulate and distribute the ball around one Lionel Messi.

Lol @ all the people fapping over his numbers....

You do realise he scored 9 in the league last season which is less than Xavi....

Yes Xavi....

Besides numbers mean f*ck all when you only contribute in the first 3 months and then contribute f*ck all afterwards.

Not to mention including Cesc unbalanced the team offensive and defensively.

Cesc was a stupid signing i said it 2 years before it happened he will never be what a Barca midfielder is required to do.

He should admit it was a mistake and leave and join someone where his ability's fit because it sure as hell aint Barca.

I agree since the 2011-2012 we have been way too dependent on Messi. That is due to our extremely poor wingers since that time with Villas injury and Pedros drop in form in that season, and Afellay was injured too.We had to use Mr.Backpass and two wingers from our B team which made us way too reliable on Messi.Another thing which hasnt been mentioned much is that Xavi had his worst season since 2008 and our defence was completely crap which made us not get as much of the ball as we did in the three or four years before that.I'd be extremely worried if we sold Messi tbh,but we would get atleast 150m so it wouldnt be all bad.

Cesc Fabregas wants more playing time at Barcelona, and says that he didn't make the switch to Spain to sit on the bench.
