Who should start for Chelsea?

The problems in the team are hardly a secret. Lampard + Mikel is a farce, and Ivan, Luiz + Ramires on the right is even worse.

JT's: Old, runs like a Dray horse, killed by injuries, turns like a barge, still easily the best defender we have. Shocking stuff.

We keep playing with a defensive winger on the right for some odd reason and Torres is constantly isolated. & has to drift out wide to get a touch.

How would you fix these problems provided we havent loaned our entire squad out to fellow CL clubs before the window closes

There's clear and obvious problems there that better teams will exploit but it's about as good as you can do IMO.

Think Oscar was a bit pointless looking back, should have got a Legit CM instead.

First of all the most reliable defender in your squad currently is Gary cahill. David luiz actually plays like Neville said .playstation. etc etc.Ivanovic is past it and Azpi is a upgrade over him. Kid is goat defensively.Cole still has 2 year left in him.I do think you need to sign a commanding CB like Agger or Pepe etc.

I predicted this Ramirez as a defensive winger earlier. Di Matteo is conservative and Ramirez is obviously his love child. I dont expect a out and out 4-2-3-1 from him.

If you're gonna stick to a possession game, start as many technical players as you can, if you're gonna play physical football then start as many big guys, like last year, as you can. Everyone needs to press at the same time starting from the front.

Main point: Lampard and Terry to the bench is a must. Ivanovic is reliable as CB. Moses on the left wing as I think he's better there. Ramires has no place in the first-team.

I want to see this tried probably prefer Sturridge over Torres. We need someone more disciplined then Lampard or Mehreles in the pivot we are getting killed on the counter, so hope to see Romeu alongside Mikel.

Chelsea will cover defensive problems with goals this season. Their season really does rest on HAzard, Mata and Torres creating and sustaining a deadly partnership.

If I could be bothered I would bring up the quotes of people saying Newcastle would be a challenge and we would lose to them.

You also know as well as I that winning the EPL comes down to more than just beating rivals.

I say again, 9 points out of 9 and top of the tree, ahead of all of our rivals by more than 3 points already. We are not in trouble yet.

Tbf we would be if we played 4-3-3, us and 4-4-2 is like Barca suddenly deciding to play like Stoke and expecting to be successful it just doesn't suit them.

If we persist with that formation we won't even finish top half.

We can beat anyone in the league on our day with 4-3-3, but with 4-4-2 we struggle against practically everyone.

Tbf if we had done our homework on Atleti we would not have let Falcao score and blah blah blah.

You didn't. You played anearly full strength squad and lost. As did we to today.

Everyone is just knee jerking despite the fact we made a top 10 Newcastle side look poor last week.

They invested in the final third, but nothing down back where they lack quality. Their best CB is playing as a RB and they have no solid DM.

People who say Ivanoivc is our best CB should be ignored as they have no idea who poor Ivanoivc is at CB.

Just proves how highly I rate Cahill and Terry atm...

Terry was no doubt class in his peak, but he's way past it now.
Luiz should be used as an experiment to see if he can play DM as he can't lead the line for ####.
Cahill is well, Cahill. In decent form, but still always a 3rd CB for me.

Knee jerking? I've been saying the same thing since you've bought Oscar, Hazard etc etc. Your defence lacks quality.

The closest I've came to knee jerking on this forum is saying Torres is back - and I genuinely believe that he is.
