Would fancy us giving Norwich a thrashing next week.

They're just so god-awful this year, you'd have to think it's likely.

I just couldn't be more pleased with our form so far. This is precisely the start Robbie needed to settle everyone down, nip the nay-saying vultures in the bud, and start off things for his new-era Chelsea.

To hear him after their last 2 wins, you'd think he'd cured world hunger or something.

LMAO

What most outsiders are looking forward to are greetings between Robbie and him. I suppose they're expecting there to be some kind of awkward scene or something Rolling Eyes

VB really has no reason to be anything but completely forthcoming with him. Robbie was very complimentary to him after he was canned. Even dedicated his first win to his sorry azz. And didn't he also thank him in his interview after the 4-1 against Napoli for "all he did to get us to this stage" or something?

So yea, he has no reason to be resentful.
Wonder if he'll be able to hide his jealousy though Twisted Evil

Excellent article on Robbie and his impact at Chelsea.

Very complimentary to him as well, which you'd usually not expect from the Fail.

Has anyone ordered the CL DVD from the official store?

if so, is it any good?

I am considering getting it but if it is only lame ass highlights I won't. I'd rather full matches.

Lol. Not quite what I was after but it will do.

@fitman, I just finished watching WBA vs Villa and took note of Long, I figured I would tell you what I actually thought of him instead of just kidding around.

He is a very good player, however. He is not consistant enough to be bought by Chelsea, I did love his work rate and his speed and think he would be a type of player any midtable club would love.

should he improve his consistancy he would have a great season and I could see him being picked up by a bigger club.

also, Lukaku's first touch is soooo bad. Laughing

Your right, hes not the most consistant player, he doesnt always make the best choices when passing or when making a run, but his finishing is great.

I still think hes the kind of player who would have a feild day playing with the likes of Hazard and Mata. If he were allowed to play right up on the shoulder of the oppostion CB and our mid were to play ball behind the line to him, hed win more then his fair share of them, of course that tactic would be killed off by any team that sits deep.

I think he could get a start at a club like Liverpool as he suits Rodgers style of play much more then Borini does because he can play out wide whereas Borini, from what ive seen of him, looks like he has a wingers body with the skillset of a CF where as Long can play alone up top, as a SS or even out wide. He'd be good enough for Everton too if they didnt already have Jelavic

There must be cement in Lukakus boots, his first touch is woeful at times, and tbh its holding him back because most other parts of his game are quite good

I would agree with you there, he would certainly be a better fit for liverpool.

I don't know how he would do with us but I think we could do better than him TBH.

If Lukaku could improve his first touch dramaticly I could see him starting for us next year.

Yeah i cant imagne him at Chelsea because the only postion he could play in our 4-2-3-1 would be at CF and hes not better the Sturidge or Lukaku (although he is currently benching him at WBA) and his price tag woldnt be big enough to bench Torres, although he'd fit in pretty well yanited, although theyre stacked in the forward department too

As soon as Lukaku improves his ball control.

He will bench Long, sadly.

affraid

I actually think a Lukaku-Long partnership could work quite well due to Long's speed and Lukaku's strength.

Would be interesting to see, for sure.
