I heard De La Red's son signed for the Cantera. Now that wasn't a name I've heard in a long time

Remember when I said Luca Zidane was not good? Someone made a thread of his blunders the most recent being last Sunday. He just isn't good enough for a castilla gk

I dont understand why he just doesnt become an outfield player. He is so arrogant the way he plays. The othet day Castilla were losing and he was busy dribbling two outfield players instead of playing it safe. It's evident he doesnt care about that level.

Its that Neuer generation can't stand it, focus on being good at goalkeeping first.

There were several offers from Ligue 1 to buy him but Madrid blocked the transfer.  Not the best way to handle it...  but he's forcing his way out of Madrid this way.  He can't get into a public fight with Madrid given his father's position.  So this was probably his only option to communicate his unhappiness.

I've heard that ZZ sees this as a conflict of interest for him and won't get involved one way or another.

Because despite your misgivings and Nick's, he was considered the top goalkeeping prospect in his age group coming into this season.  He has been the top goalkeeper in all youth NT competitions he's been involved with for France over the past 2 seasons.

Real Madrid didn't really want to give him up for the future... but he also wants to play top flight football.  After the start to this season, I think he will get his wish assuming someone still wants him. He's being petulant in games, which is a no no for me. Lack of professionalism.

Really not a good way to do it by the kid. I think he will have problems wherever he goes.

Oh please ffs. Pachecho was rated alot higher than him and he was sold. Do me a favour, the only reason Luca is playing is because nepotism though we don't even have good gks anyways. If he was any good he would've been loaned out to a laliga like we've done witg all our promising players

He wants to go back to France Hala.  Marseille wanted him before they were forced to go for Mandanda late (thank god).  Bordeaux or Toulouse (can't remember which) was also on him.

He had no desire to go to some second division or bottom of the table loan deal.

It was his desire to go to Marseille (where all of Zidane's extended family live) that made me read up.  But OM doesn't do loan deals (unless option to buy). So Madrid's offer was a non starter.

I wish the kid all the success in the world, he is just disastrous right now, and i don't get why you wanted to play it down last summer when i brought it up or why you now talk about him having offers now when i bring it up again.

It does not matter, really, we can comment what we see, and the guy is nothing special and has terrible decision making for a gk.

Well because I get a lot of backlash when I share stuff on this forum so I've mostly stopped doing it. Nobody really gives a damn about Luca Zidane in Madrid tbh. Only reason anyone cares is his father.

Didn't think it was worthwhile to talk about at the time.

He needs to leave Madrid. OM door may be shut however now... so somewhere else.

He was good in the other youth groups. He's been mistake after mistake for Castilla though. Even when he played for the first team he made a few mistakes too many

I am sure if he wanted to leave the management would grant him that. Our upper management don't even care about keeping youth team players. Every summer we sell/loan 3/4 of the team

That's why I am still a bit skeptical of the news, although it's by several sources.  Madrid don't give a f about Castilla, regardless if it's ZZ's kid or not.  Something else must have happened.

He is playing like he doesn't give a f though so the bitterness from him is palpable.

Strange situation... and one we wouldn't give a rat's arse about if his name wasn't what it is.

Morientes is a mediocre castilla manager and should be sacked, but it seems like no one has he balls to do it. He was so highly touted coming up the lower teams, no flopping like a scrub

Hala, anyone? How are our academy, players out on loan doing. I’m under the impression that the farm system has run dry! I haven’t heard of any promising talent at all bar Vinicius. Castilla is bad and once promising youth such as Odegaard seem to have moved off the radar.

Is this a correct view?

Re Vinicius, the club has a major decision as he turns 18. They can elect to leave him in Brasil to continue his development or they can bring him to Europe. If the latter, moving him to first team is likely a bad idea, particularly with what has happened this year and with club almost surely signing an established scorer (or two), he won’t get a lot of playing time. Moving him to Castilla is also a bad idea, given how bad they are and the low level of play. That then likely means a loan deal! Probably it is best to leave him in Brasil!

According to Marca Raul, Xabi Alonso, Solari, and Guti will all be coaching in our youth teams next season, now we are even farming our own Madridista coaches, WATTBA Proud

Solari has been awful. He can definitely go to make way for Guti. I’m excited about Raul and Xabi though.

I always thought Raul would end up coaching, Guti has done ok thus far (but the suggestion, that has been made by some today, that Guti take over from Zidane, is way way off.

And Xabi, I feel will make an incredible coach. surprised tho that he is starting in Madrid academy.

And Solari, isn’t he aleady gone?

Watched Castilla v Las Palmas B for Vinicius. Gotta say he looked very disjointed for the most part but had some good moments. Likely due to the big change in quality surrounding him. He did well on his own, but the pace of service to his teammates was all off. Still not sure if this was the right decision for Vini
