saw the highlights of this game. Castilla are playing some beautiful football. Hopefully Benavente has his breakthrough this year

Zidane is doing what Diaz should've done, he is playing Llorente and Derik together and starting Benavente. We probably would not have been relegated had Diaz trusted our cantera over the loaned 25/26 year olds

Wr have gotten rid of some useless players as well like Borja Garcia etc. I am really excited about the new season

no, sadly only Murcia were relegated and therefore only Mirandes got promoted. Racing survived so we are stuck in Segunda B

The guy is not afraid to take on anyone. He is going to be vital if we want to be promoted. You get him to play well and the other parts of the attack wont matter. He should be called up to the first team when Ronaldo isn't available

According to Perez we will merge the C team and Castilla in one. About time, there is no point having two different teams when they can't be promoted anyways, will also leave more players for selection. Castilla have been really thin due to half the other players playing for the C team and due to the fact we rarely buy players unlike a certain Catalonia club

Burgui toying with these segunda b players. He doesn't deserve to keep playing in this poverty league. He should get promoted and become Isco's back up at LM. Jese Ronaldo's back up, Bale Benzema's back up and Benavente James' back up

This team is better than the one we had back when we last won the league, back then we had 4/5 players that were 23 and above, this team only has one in the starting line up who is basically our Xabi not in style but leadership). The posession, intensity and team work is something that has been absent since Toril left. Even the game we lose we play beautiful football

Burgui though, he is something else, comfortably the best winger we have produced since a long long time (I consider Jese more of a forward) our B team traditionally play with out and out wingers doing the same things game in game out, this is probably the first time we have an inverted winger starting every game. The ease by which he gets past players is amazing, he makes it look so easy literally just walking past them. Carlo was at the game hope the pos finally realises he has an amazing winger in the b team and doesnt need to play Carvajal or Marcelo as wingers when our first choices are out

Wonder where Odegaard will play hmm

dont think he will displace Medran, Aguza and Llorente in the midfield as the former and latter are considered the future whereas Aguza is there for experience. Can he play RW or CF?? Those are the two positions he will realistically occupy imo

Btw we are top of the league banana

Asensio and Ødegaard will all be almost guaranteed a place in the starting 11 next season I'd think. Unless they aren't lent out.

We usually sell all our players in the summer anyways so there will be plenty of spots for the new players. Isnt Odegaard supposed to join up with Castilla now?

Yeah, that's the plan atleast. Can't see him not playing in a couple of weeks after all this hype.

Do the team play with an AM at all?

they have too many AMs... Burgui, Medran, etc. The superstars of Castilla are the AM/10 players.

I honestly have no idea where Odegaard will play because there's no way in the world either Burgui or Medran get benched.

They've taken 19 points of 21 possible in the last 7 games, gone from last to first place and have the most goals scored in the group. Been dominant after an awful start.

Odegaard better be ok with competition because it's not going to be handed to him.

The level of The Norweigan league is levels above this level though, and that's gotta mean a lot to his chances of playing. Medran played CM for the senior team when he played and Hala stated Burgui was a winger, that could make Ødegaard an AM and force one of the defending midfielders out.

I really can't see him not playing, he must have had some sort of guarantee to play when he's basically transferring to a club in a league with a lower level than he's used to.

We play a 4231 or so it looks anyways. Llorente next to Aguza and Medran ahead of them so yeah we do play with an AM but none of those are playing bad. In fact we have no striker atm and have played Benavente there for the last couple of games. Could see him being tried there. As you said after all this hype he is going to start but I have got no idea where. Our midfield is successful now I would hate for it to be disrupted

Ødegaard apparently got 2 assists in 60 minutes gametime for Castilla today, against a chinese team.

Edit: Apparently he didn't assist any, but played really well. Couldn't find the game.

But he will be called up for our game this weekend will have a chance to get a proper look at him then

Can anyone say what system zidane used with castilla. tactics, formation etc. I don't have access to castilla matches.

I am just curious as he may just be the first team coach next season.

I am trying to imagine what style he plays.
