Reverse jinx?
Baggio never missed penalties, Because he was a Buddihist and always so chilled they said...but he did indeed miss one...

Just saw that....what are the odds that TODAY Hart finally saves a penalty from Balo, of all the freaking days
Might be the worst jinx I've ever had

Re: Quarter final: England vs Italy discussion
And, with the possibility of penalties now looming, the Juventus shot-stopper insisted he would like to see the game decided in normal time.
"Three times it has happened to me with the national team that a game has been decided on penalties," Buffon told reporters at a press conference on Friday. "Twice I won, and once I lost.
"However, for the sake of the coronary arteries, mine and everyone else's, it would be better to close out the game with England before then!"

I cannot believe it, this match is actually happening, its been nearly 4 years in the making. Most of you weren't there during the Lithum forums, but the epic 20+ page arguments between Italian and English fans comes down to this. Prepare for many bans in the aftermath of the match, we La Liga fans will get out the popcorn and pop open the bottle of champagne and enjoy the show. My only regret is that the likes of Wiggles, Feverpitch and Giancarlo are not here to take part in this, because the butthurt aftr the match is gonna be huge.

I don't see why anyone would support England national team, if I were English; I would support any team that comes against England, bunch of overrated overpaid bold men with hair implants who the moment they get the ball just run into the opposition goal; a six years old Italian kid can outplay the English national team.

what matters is who won

Re: Quarter final: England vs Italy discussion
With Chiellini out, i think we shojld play like this for the rest of the tournament, including the game against England. The only problem is, picking two of Cassano, Giovinco, and Di Natale. Di Natale is without a doubt the best goal threat, wbile Cassano is the most creative, and Giovinco is the middle point. So who do we pick?
--Buffon--
--Maggio-- --Barzagli-- --Bonucci-- --Balzaretti--
--De Rossi-- --Pirlo-- --Marchisio--
--Gio/Cassano--
--Gio/Toto-- --Balotelli--

Re: Quarter final: England vs Italy discussion
Italian fans are more concerned with a potential semi-final with Germany than the quarter-final with England
Typical - who fears England

Re: Quarter final: England vs Italy discussion
I want Italy to progress. England are no fun to watch. Pirlo vs. Özil would be interesting, old school playmaker vs. a modern one. On the other hand, another PTB team which hopes for the best... Thanks but no thanks. I don't have anything against England but I want to enjoy the competition.
