Tito's presentation Empty Tito's presentation

Post by free_cat Fri 15 Jun - 0:05

Today at 13:00 Barcelona time.

You can watch it in Barça's website and youtube channel:

www.youtube.com/fcbarcelona

Eager to see our new coach talk!
Hope he clears up Alves future and the future of some of the youth guys.

Would be cool if he announced a signing, but won't happen.

He'll keep his cards very close to his chest. Especially regarding transfers. So it'll probably be pretty boring... just my prediction.

You registered to this forum, with an anti-Tito nickname only to post that he is gonna flop big time?

My god. What has Tito done to you? Did he steal your ex-girlfriend? Very Happy

Probably, but maybe he talks about departures and players that will stay.

Jordi Roura, scout with Pep Guardiola last season and ex-Barça youth player, will be the assistant manager.

Tito: "Alves is staying for sure. Keita wil stay if he wants to."

AGHH. Let's hope Keita wants to leave.

Tito: We want to improve the back (CB & LB), but we won't sign anyone at top.

Zubi: Puyol ends contract next season, we will talk with him to channel his future.

About possible signings (Sakho, Alba), no comment from Tito neither Zubi.

For Barca (he's blocking JDS and Roberto's progression) and himself (more gametime elsewhere) Keita must leave.

If he's still here at the beginning of the season I'll be very annoyed.

Not surprised about no forward signing. Nobody decent on the market. We have plenty of quality if we can get them all fit. I think we'll sell somebody though.
Pedro (Cuenca/Tello) - Messi (Afellay) - Villa (Alexis)... that is pretty badass if we can get them 100%

CB & LB are the priorities. Gonna be Alba and Mr X...

Frankly his aerial abilities will be missed if he leaves, especially in the area where Barça specifically need to reinforce. I mean Jonathan dos Santos is more than 10 cm shorter than the Malian.

We need to reinforce our midfield? And why do we need aerial ability there... And explain how the reasonable heading ability of a bench player is a good reason to keep him...

Don't even mention this 'Plan B' either...

Counting Abidal out - which is looking likely, even if he comes back he won't be able to reach his peak ever again considering his age and recovery which will prevent him from playing/training intensively, Barcelona already had problems in aerial department this season and things will only get worse if someone like Keita is replaced by a midget. Look at the goals Madrid scored against Barcelona this season; half of them have been from corners, not to mention a few other very dangerous set-pieces that they should have scored (I recall Ramos screwing up a sitter for example). The fact is, most teams will get very good chances on set-pieces against Barcelona. It is eye-candy stuff to play tiki-taka but if you concede from a simple corner kick then that's no good and having Alba for example replacing Abidal not only helps the case, it makes things worse. The only two players who have aerial presence in this team are Puyol who is having consistent injury problems and it is safe to say he has passed his prime and Piqué who is ok at jumping but actually quite bad at directing his headers. And Valdés is not particularly sound when it comes to corners or indirect free-kicks.

Yes, but that is a point why we should buy a left back with height and a centreback with height. It has nothing to do with Keita. Conceding goals from corners? Whats Keita gonna do about it? Start him instead of Busi, Ini and Xavi in midfield?

It'd be nice to have some players with some different qualities, but height in midfield isn't that important.
